  1. How much money would I need to be paid to even consider going to the "Notting Hill Carnival" for 2 days solid ?
  2. All slightly damp as well, but in a bad way.
  3. Too busy to chat, busy waiting for a delivery of some wood (I say some but its loads)and some nails. Between 11.00am and 2023 they said.
  4. I don't think they can get used to it financially or psychologically. Flat ground, global warming and cartoon houses and buildings (think little piggies) then there is a point I suppose where they won't get insurance. The impact on the US economy (Markets) is a hit that they can IMO take on the chin once a decade at a push but each storm will create bigger and more violent market reaction which is not good for anyone. They could get another one more powerful in a month, 6 weeks or in exactly 12 months. You can't beat nature, even the mighty USA. Maybe they are going to build a wall in the wrong place :-) There must be a cost / benefit problem of blindly throwing billions and billions at this only to do it all over again ? Also, they all sound so surprised as well, the Gulf spits these out now and again in every increasing quantities. (I had a dream about the storm last night, I lived there & my house was made of wood but it detached from the ground and floated, is this from a book or something, Dahl??:-))
  5. The draining of the swamp is going well I see :-)
  6. Disagree, I think they are in absolute turmoil again. Small heath fans are saying it's worse now that under Zola so that's very positive at this stage + injuries to new loaned players looks to be all going how it should be. If the window shuts and they have not got 3 or 4 of quality in then they will go down. At some point in a managers career the old magic is gone, the well is empty and it's all over. I can only hope this is the case. Looking at pictures of "Mr Wibble Wobble", I think he knows it's gone as well.
  7. From the looks it seems that ITV have changed direction here in what could be a refreshing re-boot of our favourite and surely in a care home by now , but no. They have dug up Jane Tennison using some Frankenstein machine and managed to re-animate it with only the total loss of logic and empathy and partial loss of dignity.
  8. Honestly, if I was in the Mayweather camp I would be a bit worried. Forget personalities as it matters not. Speed, puch angles and reation time I have got to give these to McGregor. McGregor can and has absolutley sparked people with one punch, it does not matter if it is in a pub carpark or Las Vegas. If McGregor connects with one on Mayweathers chin clean with no reduction in power off Mayweathers shoulder defence or arms he will spark him for real and it will be over. Defence, ring craft, boxing intelligence and picking the shots to win a fight, all go to Mayweather. 49 times been there and done it, however the 49 were not all at the top of their game by any stretch. Sport is a lot about experience, he has loads. It will tell him he can win this fight but also he is 40, if this turns into what he really does not want, a toe-to-toe war then self preservation of one's brain is a real factor for a 40 year old, IMO anyway. He picks his shots and does it at a time in rounds to catch the judges eye and this method has served him well. Can he do this with some lunatic throw 3 times as many, not sure. Not matter what you do, if your opponent is throwing comnination after combination and landing with a few it will always look bad for the recipient. Can Mayweather keep holding / moving and picking shots ? McGregor has been training in secret with a Refreree at his side keeping him on the right side of the rules so I dont think this will be an issue. It's gonna be great. McGregor, nothing to lose here. Dangerous man & he has got to Mayweather bad, have no doubt about that. Mayweather looked for a split second a bit scared to me, when McGregor was gritting his teath, that was real and Mayweather knew it. That's how I see it anyway. My incorrect prediction = McGregor in 8 Stopped, he will land one but body shot's will be Mayweathers downfall purley down to being hit in new palces due to McGregor's speed. Don't forget Tyson and Buster Douglas years ago (49-1 winner in a 2 horse race).
  9. Covertish I think. It is the birds own house with an address and everything, he won't last long. Always having a bit of a ding-dong and sticking his neck out, I heard.
  10. I am not 100% sure you don't live in Trumpton. Your work place is very clock orintated ?
  11. Ha ha. Brilliant. That could easily be some dialouge from "Full Metal Jacket", it isn't but it should be. Nice one Private_Pile_Lepal_fan_4th_Brigade_Yes Sir_Sir
  12. A little bit more than that mate, but I have found you 3, exactly in between Haarlem and the beach (2 miles or so each way so easy biking distance). I live 2 miles away also so what's not to like ?
  13. Looks a lot like Haarlem in Holland. If you ever go to Holland have a look at Haarlem, 15 mins on the train from Amsterdam and not like Amsterdam at all which is a good thing I think. The beach is another 2 stops and you are in Zandvoort. I took this on Sunday. I have only took a few photos before but this one came out OK I reckon.
  14. Just make things up and ask her if she knows about it. See how far you can push it. Won't solve it but it will amuse. EG "Did you know......We are all getting new keyboards where you can arrange the letters as you like? What colour are you going to have as there are 4 colours to choose from?" Bet she has been thinking about this for ages or she knew they had been ordered and it was her idea.
  15. It seems there is a link between the general mental state of the H&S that is, amazingly linked not to the building or even the workers but to the personel wealth of those who either live or work there. As you say, for a clock the H&S seems to have lost it's f****** mind there. Stay safe out there everyone.
  16. Thanks, so the electric thing is good overall for drivers I suppose as it is a lot cheaper than petrol I presume after all is balanced out (Car costs more if electric?) (I used to drive for a living so I was genuinly thinking about the electric imp[act on the taxis, as there are 1000's and 1000's of them around Schipol.) 100's just waiting for there go everyday.
  17. No but the cost of the fuel must be part of the total cost + wear and tear so would there be a re-calibration of this formale ? (I was waiting for your reply tbh, it was like a massive fishing net or crab pot of a question with your name on it (It was something I wondered as wear and teat on an electric engine, not sure, there is only 1 moving part afaik so the costs are rapidly reducing as I type it seems. So what was €50 would now be approx €14.57 ?(I am joking))
  18. Will electric taxi's charge in the Killowat per mile ? So the running costs + time+little bit of profit + cost to charge the battery for that specific journey ? Can I pay with a Duracell?
  19. Nothing to stop a bit of propoganda I say if it's for the comman good of all, things like this should be spread by people as a matter of course, anything to stop the idiots. Flooding Facebook with this would be a great start, no matter who shoots them report it as a female officer for example. Report that the terrists were all wearing Small Heath kits for all I care but the point is that the hero thing that they think they will get must be have some balance to it. EG, "If you kill innocents in a terror attack in the name of whatever, you go to hell as some sort of animal or similar, that wears makeup and a big hat and is called Jeff." Create the myths with the help of the communities that they come from. There is a fine line here but I suspect this could be more effective than a 1 minutes silence now and then with some candles with the King ? queen there surrounded by 200 armed Police. Only an idea but if it was good enough in WW II and all that.
