  1. Messi would say it's the equivalent of Emi Martinez going off injured for you. And he would be uncannily accurate.
  2. He didn't cost Brighton that much - I'd hope we're looking at a similar profile of player
  3. I'd settle for someone who only gets robbed of the ball in our third - which then leads to a goal - once a season. Though part of me feels like I'm being a bit uncharitable to our midfield, as the good has by far outweighed the bad this season.
  4. It's definitely something that needs more of a gameplan for next season
  5. I say this not entirely tongue in cheek when it feels like progress when we play one of the "Big 6 (TM)" and we play abysmally, but sneak a draw, as opposed to our old habit of occasionally playing well, but collapsing to a late draw or defeat. There's not loads of positives to come out of this particular game, but one is that Chelsea fans must undoubtedly feel pretty sick after not winning that, and even sicker when they miss out on European football again.
  6. I've chosen not to watch this on telly to help the team given my 100% losing record this season. Come on Villa!
  7. I hope our forwards shred the Bolsonaro supporting git.
  8. Has been a very enjoyable and relaxing afternoon. First time in ages my wife and I haven't had the children and have decided to not do work/admin of some description. Couple of drinks, look up the football scores - nice to realise that none of the results really affects us in the slightest, and even Man U winning wouldn't really have made the slightest bit of difference. Good point to stand back and take stock of how good the season has been. A strange feeling. Hope I'm feeling as good in 4 hours
  9. Never too late to write Man Utd off... never say doe attitude... Antony in a rich vein of form... Ten Hag - second year manager bounce... timed the run perfectly... coming up fast on the rails
  10. How could I forget What we do in the shadows? Brilliant
  11. Only very slightly related, but I used to work in Croydon near the Nestle building, and there were peregrine falcons nesting in the nest of the Nestle logo at the top of the building. Back on topic, there is no record of what their favourite chocolate bar is. As for me, people mistakenly think I'm the kind of person that likes high quality dark chocolate, but actually I enjoy the real trash like marvellous creations popping candy one.
  12. And also, it's April, and while that doesn't mean we're not active, it does mean newspapers and websites aren't falling over themselves in a rush to publish literally anything they can think of ("Villa target full back prospect who feeds beefburgers to SWANS") under an EXCLUSIVE banner.
  13. I get a bad taste whenever Malo Gusto is mentioned
  14. I just want us to not concede a stupid goal in the first half an hour and then be playing catch up. Signs that Gusto won't be back, so our left side v their right side could be a real mismatch
  15. I always find myself going back to Peep Show, the Alan Partridge Compendium from KMKYWAP to TTWAP, Curb, Father Ted, Spaced and Thick of It. I'm ready for Darkplace again. Not sure if it counts as a sitcom as such, but Day Today. The Let Down is also fantastic, if a slightly traumatic watch at times this close to having children.
  16. Proves the point that there is a Partridge quote for pretty much every eventuality. And if all else is lost, then
