  1. Me too, he just doesn’t seem to fit in at Chelsea for whatever reason, anyone can see he has talent, he just needs a move
  2. I think you could be right but I don’t know if Rashford would leave his boyhood club to come to us
  3. I agree, when Rashford first broke in to the Man United first team, he looked like he was going to be brilliant but he just hasn’t continued in the way he started his career for whatever reason. Injuries have played a big part I think in his career stalling, not a lack of talent
  4. On what we have? Diego Costa? He was one of the best forwards in the world, he might not be now but he could teach our other strikers a thing or two
  5. I think that some of these posts are incredibly harsh on Watkins. This is only his second season in the Premier League. He scored 14 Premier League goals last season, 7 this season, he was always going to be hard pressed to repeat last season’s heroics. One thing that you can never fault him for is effort, he always gives 100% for the team, whoever the opposition is, I love that about him. I remember Dean Smith calling him the best pressing centre forward in the league when he was still Villa manager, it’s quite a compliment
  6. It is tricky, the top 6 is virtually set in stone and then we have the bottom 14 which we are a part of. I know it sounds silly but in the Premier League, pretty much anyone can beat anyone on any given day. We are fortunate to be a part of what is commonly acknowledged to be the best league in the world which I agree with. The squad we currently have is the best we have had for about a decade or so, we have been through quite a lot of turmoil in that time, culminating in our relegation in 2015/16, it was a dark day for the football club, we were a shambles at that time. I like to think that we are in a much better place now but nothing should be taken for granted
  7. Any idea when the club are releasing details about the prices of season tickets for next season?
  8. Why do you say this? I think he’s excellent, he would improve us, I’d pay the £60m or whatever it would take. The whole league would sit up and take notice if we signed him, he’s a class act
  9. We just need to get back to being hard to beat like we were last season. I believe we have the personnel to do this but I also think that the loss of Grealish has contributed significantly to us conceding more as he alleviated so much pressure on the defence. My team for this match would be: Martinez Cash Chambers Mings (c) Digne (if not fit, Young, although he’s clearly not a left back) McGinn Luiz Ramsey Buendia Watkins Coutinho Bench: Olsen, Konsa, Sanson, Traore, Bailey, Chukwuemeka, Iroegbunam
  10. If he could score goals, he’d be playing for Man City or someone like that. His build up play is excellent but he just doesn’t have that goalscoring instinct that is needed to be a success in the Premier League. It’s a shame but that’s the reality of the situation, all of you guys tried to tell me this but it only just sunk in watching the match today. He made Van Dijk look like a mug at times today but he just can’t score, it’s sad
  11. Gomez was playing at right back, he’s not a right back
  12. I thought he played very well yesterday but he doesn’t much credit for it for some unknown reason. Arsenal paid £50m for Ben White and we paid £20m for Mings, I like to think we got value for money there. Yes, Mings does make mistakes but name me a Premier League defender that doesn’t. Mings didn’t make any mistakes yesterday, when he does, he is hung out to dry
  13. There seems to be quite a clamour to drop Watkins in this thread. In my opinion, Ings doesn’t work hard enough for the team to play up front by himself. I don’t think Gerrard knows his best team yet, it is still early in to his stint as Villa manager, he has made a good start.
  14. Triston Rowe who we signed from WBA too
  15. I’ve just seen footage of our u15 goalkeeper Sam Proctor on his Instagram, he looks outstanding. We signed him about a year ago from Peterborough United, he looks special, he’s played for England at u15 level too. If the worst happens and we lose Martinez, we’ve got this lad coming through!
  16. If we had a load of kids on the bench, people would be moaning at a lack of experience. Maybe, we should try having a blend of youth and experience on the bench, I don’t know, it’s just a suggestion
  17. I thought RHM was going to better than Davis, shows what I know!
  18. I think he’s excellent, he would improve us no end, he’s just what we’re missing in midfield. No doubt, there will be competition for his signature, there would be for a player of his quality. This potential signing would be a statement of intent. I’ve always him admired from a distance, he has real quality on the ball. The only downside to this signing is that he is quite nasty I think. I can’t understand some of these other posts, I would struggle to name a better defensive midfielder that we could attract
  19. He does the simple thing well, he doesn’t overcomplicate the game. We paid £2m for him from Crewe I think, how prices have increased so quickly
  20. Feeney is young, he will learn, he is going to be a great player but I don’t want to put too much pressure like I have on many before him. He will make mistakes and become a better player for it
