    I think it’s worth remembering that we have a lot of young players out on loan. Our current crop of young players is great I think Edit- or in other words, we’ve just bought them all, it’s what all of the top clubs do

    Without looking at his stats on Wikipedia, can anyone explain why he only scored 5 in 20 matches for Solihull Moors in the National League to scoring regularly in The Championship for Preston? To me, it doesn’t make any sense, does it suggest that the step up in quality isn’t that big? I don’t know, maybe someone can explain edit- I just checked, he scored 4 in 26 matches for Solihull Moors in the National League to scoring 5 goals in 10 matches for PNE in The Championship

    Neither have them have failed at Villa, I liked both of them, I have good memories of both, Samatta’s diving header against Man City in the Carabao Cup final in 2020 and his header against Bournemouth away in the league in the 19/20 season, he showed great bravery in both cases. I also think that Wesley has a lot of potential, he has shown it in short spurts in a Villa shirt, I fondly remember him terrorising Ben Mee and James Tarkowski against Burnley at Turfmoor in 19/20. No striker in world football is going to perform at a 10/10 level every week, it is impossible but it seems that every football fan wants this

    If Leeds want £60m for him, if we have that kind of money to spend, then I’m all for it. He’s an excellent player, he dictates the game from the middle of the park. It’s something that we have lacked for a number of years, a physical presence in the engine room. The only downside to this is that I think he is quite nasty on the pitch I think but I think that is needed to be a success in the division

    Why does Luiz divide opinion? Sometimes we don’t half underrate our own. For me, he’s an excellent midfield player who will only get better in the coming years, he is still young

    We have Steven Gerrard at the helm now, his name alone will attract players that we couldn’t have dreamt of signing when we had Dean Smith as manager. No disrespect to Dean Smith, he’s still an excellent manager and a Villa fan to boot

    When the strikers stay up the pitch, they are accused of a lack of work rate, they can’t win. Kane wants to be the main man for England like he is at Spurs. He has to understand that are many great players that play for England and they can share the limelight and work load Rooney had to be the main man too like Kane, he was more of a hothead than Kane. He had so much natural ability

    We can’t afford any passengers, we need 11 players to be 100% at it for 90 minutes. We also now have a strong bench which can change a game in need be. It’s a squad game these days, I trust Gerrard to get that blend, it won’t happen straight away, it will need time. He has made a great start

    Anyone can tell that the lad has talent, he has been unlucky with injuries since we signed him. He looks spectacular on YouTube too, he’s our second most expensive player ever. I don’t want to put too much pressure on him, just give him time, ease him in *goes to watch him on YouTube* I watched it, he has such quick feet, he’s explosive and great end product. I can’t wait to see more of him in a Villa shirt

    What do you mean by Roy Of The Rovers ******** regarding Harry Kane? Sterling is an established international winger, I wouldn’t mind him being captain. Personally, I like captains to be centre backs as they can see the whole of the game and inspire the rest of the team and lead from the back.
