  1. VILLA: Given, Hutton, Collins, Baker, Lichaj, Bannan, Gardner, Clark, Ireland, Weimann, Agbonlahor. MAN UTD: De Gea, Rafael, Ferdinand, Evans, Evra, Valencia, Carrick, Scholes, Young, Rooney, Welbeck. Oh dear.
  2. We did take the train from the Jewellery Quarter back to Moor Street when we couldn't be arsed to walk all the way back to the centre around Tuesday afternoon. Is there a chance we rode the Rev-train? Nope. I drive the ones that go to glamorous and exciting places like London. And Aylesbury. I was sitting in the staff room at Moor Street until about 10pm on Tuesday evening though, you could have bought me dinner! What would happen if you felt the wrath of that curry whilst driving a train? Emergency stop then a frantic dash through the carriage?
  3. One of the things I really like about Weimann is that I get the impression that tonight instead of thinking about the great goal he scored, he'll be annoyed at himself about missing that opportunity at the end. Clearly he's a very hard worker and determined to keep improving his game.
  4. People like that are just looking for attention, replying or retweeting them just gives them what they want. Ignore the knuckle draggers.
  5. He hasn't spoken to talksport. Talksport just took the same article from a Dutch newspaper and translated it poorly, its already been translated several times as 'not knowing villa very well'
  6. Firstly why is the 28th game of the season any more relevant than the 1st? MON didn't sign Carew and Young until January so pretty much half the season without them. I also think people are forgetting how poor Petrov was that first season and how long it took Young to settle into the team. Secondly its not just the first team, its the quality of the squad and our squad was pretty damn poor that year.
  7. this drives me mad, was a woefully managed team not a woeful team. Players like Sorensen, MEllberg, Laursen, Bouma, Barry, Baros, Angel, Delaney, Cahill and Whittingham were all available to MON in that season Spot on, MON inherited a tidy squad and had a bottomless wallet to use Talk about scraping the barrel. Baros, Cahill (at that point in his career), WHITTINGHAM?! There's not even 11 players listed there, never mind a squad capable of lifting us up the table. Just to put it in perspective, our team against Arsenal on the first day of the season: Sorensen, Hughes, Mellberg, Ridgewell, Samuel, Agbonlahor, McCann, Davis, Barry, Angel, Moore. Subs: Taylor, Phillips, Hendrie, Laursen, Djemba-Djemba
  8. Looks like a cycling jersey to me.
  9. RAWK is amazing right now. I've got some popcorn in the microwave as we speak.
  10. Yeah it's at the Etihad. Whilst I'm no fan of United, I think I now dislike City and their fans even more.
  11. Lokomotiv statement: "We would also like to note that Lokomotiv fans are among the most intelligent in the Premier League and have never been noticed in racist abuse." Hmmmm...
  12. Going from second choice here to second choice at West Brom? Can't see it myself.
  13. It depends on how quickly you pick it up and obviously whether you pass the first time. I was in exactly that position and passed in about 25 lessons, my fiancée has had over 50 and still is nowhere near taking her test. Again, getting a good instructor is key, especially if you can't practice in someone's car you know.
  14. Unless Mourinho would agree to take over, there is no way. Mancini is a really good manager. If he doesn't win it this year he should go. Apart from Spurs, all the top teams have regressed this year. If, after spending all that money they still can't finish ahead of a relatively poor United side then the owners should be looking for someone to take them on to the next level.
  15. I agree he's much improved and perhaps now he's fulfilling his potential. I would point out, however, Duff ghosted past him for that chance. Still, he's definitely improved considerably and is a real threat when he gets down that right hand side.
  16. I would love Ajax to win, especially after the channel 5 commentators were already talking about United playing Bilbao in the next round and even listing the dates they'd be playing.
  17. Knobbing Carl Fletcher's missus probably didn't help, as well. Allegedly. who is carl fletcher :?: Former West Ham player, current Plymouth Argyle manager.
  18. After reading the article I'm not overly optimistic still. Seems like a generic 'talks are ongoing' from McLeish rather than anything concrete.
  19. Do you know that to be FACT? Just asking as far as I was aware nothing had been released to say this. Just because a payment was made doesn't mean that he was dismissed. If he had simply resigned why did Lerner agree to pay out before it went to a tribunal? Employment tribunal's can be costly matters for both parties. Unlike other civil cases, employment law means that the losing party is not responsible for the other side's costs and therefore it is sometimes more cost effective to settle pre tribunal. Plus he may have to been owed certain payments, bonuses, etc. Without knowing the full details of MON's contract and the full details of the settlment it is impossible to state either way whether he was dismissed or not. If he was owed bonuses etc. why weren't they paid out when he left the club? Why wait until it's about to go to tribunal to settle? If he bottled it and resigned despite the backing of the owner then surely Lerner wouldn't have a case to answer. You're right, no one really knows what went on because of the confidentiality agreement which was seemingly signed, but to me it looks like he was effectively forced out, rather than being sacked per se.

  21. You're only saying that because you can sense the potential work
  22. Why does it? That was a team battling for fourth position in the English league, against a team at the top of the Italian league. For example, Man City (1st) v Levante of Spain (4th), i'd fancy Citeh to dick them in that match up. Just a very very poor Arsenal team against a good Milano team on the day. A bit like they did with a team currently 7th in Serie A?
  23. RAWK is amazing at the moment. I'm getting the popcorn out as we speak.
