I would have got on the Uruguay bus and asked who was up for a cup of tea. Once again a few of their players really impressed, always find it strange how few of them end up in our league especially as they do seem to perform at their respective clubs (in Europe, dont watch much S. American football nowadays) People like Maxi Pereira, Fucile, Gargano and Cavani, who unfortunately resembled Heskey for a lot of the tournament, aren't that far out of our range but I couldn't ever see us looking into them. Witsel would be great but then you have to have had a good look at him before the tournament and I cant say I did. Anyone see Alexis Sanchez during the world cup? Progressing nicely.

4, can see 3 first team/squad leaving, being replaced and one stuck in for good measure. ........probably not enough of a measure. Oh I do hope I am underestimating hugely.

Not the new Steven Gerrard but getting there slowly, but surely. Amazed at his progression, those years of playing have come to fruition for sure but then I think many people saw central midfield as his best position. Definitely the potential though.... Big Brad for me, nothing against Medium Sized Brad but we are not Arsenal just yet, the important fixtures still need our full attention. No problems with Guzan if he does play, he is showing promise of a consistent performer at the very least.

4th for me, it would just open up a whole realm of opportunities for us that we are and have been craving for a few years now.

Definitely challenging for the the league. Would complete two problem spots in our team and sort out the serious business of quality players in positions where you need consistency. After a few years I would see us having a serious chance to win the league, or clear the chasing pack, these two players are absolutely awesome and make a strong team very dangerous. We are a strong team.

I think Young is better for us at present but Milner has started so damned well and is showing better form. Definitely has the whole Ronaldo/Kaka (at a much lower level) feel about it, one is a 90minute player and from the other you get moments of sheer brilliance from.

Rarely comment on news stories but seriously, cruel away goal exit? 'Villa waste time and talent to end their Euro campaign, away goals just the tip of the iceberg' is more like it. Maybe being 12000 miles away has increased my anger, cant believe I am coming back with us having wasted so much time.

50/50 is probably about right. It shows that the fans are in a little limbo and to be honest that is encouraging in many ways. What a great fight, Khan looked excellent and really showed serious mental strength throughout. Found out he didn't have the power early on and I would say boxed impeccably for his first serious test of his mentality. Rubbish way to a win a title (in that he fought someone fairly average) but then I guess you have to progress and he is very young. Not sure on that performance they should be talking about Hatton, think a bit of power would have left Khan a little stunned but still excellent. Hopefully though he can add some more power to his punches because he is going to find himself on the wrong end of a few beatings in the coming years if not. All in all though, excellent stuff, he made 12 rounds without taking any serious hits with a guy who has never been knocked out, let alone knocked down and beat him conclusively.

Made some good signings so far imo. Going to be interesting to see how they turn out. Bit annoyed they got Benitez and I still haven't just yet cracked a smile over their chances of relegation.

Same again, a trophy would be nice but not necessary if we continue to improve like we have been.

Almost impossible to choose between who I would have, who am I partnering him with? I went for Barry partly due to age, if I was a top 4 club with better players littered around the pitch I might choose Barry purely down to his intelligence on the pitch (not that Petrov isn't intelligent). Very tough call but one I certainly didn't expect at Villa park a few months after Petrov came (he needs to shoot a little more), I think he is as good as Barry in this team and the poll proves this.

Never, bad attitude and has not deserved a career in football for quite some time. While he does show ability and determination he is a bad egg.
