Have to say Davis has surprised me on how well he’s done at Forest so far. I really didn’t see it happening and I hold my hands up. I wasn’t even sure if he was Championship standard when he was with us. Fair play to him. I would still maintain though that if we have real aspirations of breaking into the top six, than Davis shouldn’t be part of our squad going forward. If Forest can’t do a deal in the summer, there’ll be plenty of other offers now I’m sure.

Norwich will need to win today to have any chance of staying up. Leeds on the other hand simply need to win this, otherwise I feel the fans may turn on the team and especially the new coach. Not beating the bottom team may just drain any remaining confidence. The bottom three teams are so bad that anything above 30-32 points probably keeps you up this year. Leeds may only need 10 more points. Will be one to keep an eye on today.

Looking back, I honestly can’t remember Martinez having to make a decent save? The back four were magnificent. A real unit. We’re a real threat going forward currently and it’s a joy to watch. My only criticism is we’re still a little sloppy in possession at times. Ramsey could probably do with a rest on Sunday for Sanson, otherwise I would probably send out the same team if everyone is ok. Just a brilliant evening and nice to see out the last quarter of the game in a comfortable position.

Leeds basically missing their spine (Cooper, Phillips and Bamford). At best, Bamford and another may make the bench. Bamford didn’t even get any minutes last weekend off the bench.

Yep, Gerrard stated yesterday that he has a full squad to choose from, apart from Nakamba.

I think the part in bold might be the case. Our branding and any commercial enterprises could include him going forward. World Cup year as well, he’ll get plenty of exposure. I reckon we’ll agree a deal with him of around £200k-£250k a week.

Can’t see Bamford, Phillips or Copper starting this one, with only Bamford returning to the bench yesterday but not coming on. That has to be a plus. If we can repeat the performance of yesterday we’ll be too much for them but showing some consistency is key now.

Incredible that this guy has come in on a free or some ridiculously low nominal fee. 27 years of age and can probably give us 5 plus years service. Fantastic signing.
