  1. What is the British transfer record? What's the world record? Surely he'd be in the top 5, mainly just due to inflation over the years.
  2. Amazing goals. Love the curling one against Man Utd. Some of his best football didn't actually end with a goal, has anyone compiled his best bits of skill yet?
  3. They've been sold but their main forum has less than 2 pages of posts about it. It's like they don't care. Their weekly Grealish/Villa thread gets 10x as many posts!
  4. Wow! That is some move. If he had finished it with a goal would have been amazing
  5. It’s 99.99% certain that it won’t be below £30m if he keeps playing well.
  6. It’s been stated at least 20 times in the Luiz thread FYI - Summer 2021 - £35m.
  7. I'm too excited and positive about this game already. When this happens, Villa invariably mess things up. Sorry!
  8. Thats good. In comparison to some other footballers in the Premier League: David Luiz - 19m Rodrigez - 45m Bale - 43m Ozil - 20m John Terry - 2.7m Raheem Sterling - 2.1m Harry Kane - 9.9m Sturridge - 2.6m Rooney - 8.3m Walcott - 1.9m

    The NSWE Board

I'd hope the board are working on lots of commercial avenues to improve our global presence, to increase revenue, to help us compete with bigger transfer fees and wages. We are so far behind the top 6 at the moment, it looks impossible to compete on salaries/transfers. Hopefully us thrashing Liverpool and Arsenal has helped start the journey of building a global brand.

Tell me more please. His team became champions?
  11. Why didn't he call himself Michael A Fox?
  12. Watched Season 2 of The Boys on Amazon Prime and thought it was a bit pants. Not sure what others are finding good about that series? I just don't get it i think.
  13. Inheritance (Netflix) - Was decent enough, something a little different. Has Emily (from Emily in Paris), Nate (from Gossip Girl) and the Simon Pegg in it. 7/10 Mulan - was pretty boring. 5/10 Greyhound (Apple TV) - Tom Hanks on a ship in the war. Was ok, passed the time, nothing special. 6/10

    The NSWE Board

Wouldn't that be a side deal between Grealish and Nike, rather than between Villa and Nike?
  15. Are all the WSL teams fully professional teams now? I assume Villa are finally investing in the women’s team and building it for the future?

    Liverpool

And they they don’t even make their 3 subs in most matches, so they are obviously happy with the risk. It’s not like they don’t have strength in depth to cope with it IF they wanted to.
  17. Hold on, is this true? The Nations League qualifies you for the next World Cup???
  18. and Villa are probably 10-15 years behind Man Utd in term of revenue, player attraction, fans, global brand, etc.
  19. Not really. The big 4 clubs are so far ahead of everyone else with revenue that they can easily spend £200-300m every season if they need to be make sure they stay near the top. Anyone not in the top 6 just can't compete with that. The worst that can happen to Man Utd is they finish 6th for a couple of seasons and then drift for a few years finishing 3rd-5th without actually winning the title.
  20. They definitely shouldn't merge the two services. PS NOW is fantastic. A massive library of PS4 games that i can download and play, plus roughly 4-5 new games added every month of which at least 1 is a newer (but not new) AAA game. Also any game in PS Now can still be played online without PS Plus anyway! All for £32/year through CDKeys. PS Plus is rubbish for people who don't care about playing online. It has 2 older games a month added for a limited time and that's it.
  21. I think FFP will mean we buy 1 player maximum, and only if the right player becomes available at the right price. Though finishing 7th rather than 17th means an extra £20 million in TV merit money, which could be used if that looks likely.
