  1. Happy with this. Glad of the stability if nothing else. For too long we've been on a manger merry go-round, and people wondered why we were inconsistent. Keeping PL here with the pieces he's put in place will be good for the club.
  2. It's at the point now where if they score and we only come away with one point I'll be disappointed
  3. Much better last night. Kept them out the red zone didn't we? Nice to see Kubiak's offense looking like it should. Flacco should never have to throw 60+ times a game. Ever.
  4. Tekkers really is quality on this. Started a new season with Villa and he's playing up top in a 4-2-3-1 formation and he's banging them in. 33 league games and 29 goals. 7 assists, 10 POTM. Avg 7.59 Surprisingly no-one wants him at the moment though. Usually by December I've got 4 teams interested.
  5. He's suspended indefinitely from the NFL, and will have to apply to the league to be able to play again (I doubt that will happen).
  6. I did 3x8 this week as a warm-up to get back into it (form a such) but I will be doing 5x5 next week. Get my strength and stamina back up to scratch. Hurt like a mother yesterday when I was throwing the little one up in the air and catching him.
  7. Did a nice 4k run this morning to ease back into cardio. Was shattered. First week back and it's been Mon: Squats, Bench and Rows, Wed: Squats,OHP and DL, Fri: Run. Legs are feeling it!
  8. -------------------------------Guzan------------------------------- Hutton---------Senderos------------Vlaar-----------Cissokho ---------Westwood-------Sanchez---------Bacuna------------ ---------------Delph-----------------------Cleverley------------- -----------------------------Benteke------------------------------- Something different. Fullbacks are attacking the sidelines and when doing so Sanchez and Westwood can hang back and cover. Gives Delph and Cleverley a licence to attack. Benteke can hold the ball up and bring them both into play.
  9. If this does happen then I'd say the Joe Cole project didn't go right.
  10. £28.50 per month here. Mon/Wed/Fri I'm going. It is tempting to go every day... maybe when I've got back into the habit and I'm not suffering as much from DOMs!
  11. Finally back at the gym after over a year off. Going in early mornings before work so in here for 7am. So much better doing an early morning session IMO. Empty gym, good way to energise for the day and it leaves my evenings free to spend with the missus and little one. Lost so much strength though. Back to basics and gonna work my way back up. As an example my highest lifts were: Bench 105kg, Squat 155kg, DL 180kg, OHP 70kg, Row 80kg. I'm now starting from Bench 40kg, Squat 60kg, DL 80kg, OHP 30kg and Row 30kg. Could probably lift more as a max, but as a general 5x5 routine those are the weights. Can't wait to get back up there.
  12. Dante is stirring your porridge? That's my wife you're talking about! I know bud, but its VT, so anytime talk of strippers comes up, despite being hundreds of thousands of them in the world, we can only sensibly deduce that he was talking about your other half. I can see no other outcome. I was only jestin' anyways. I know what you guys are like She wasn't an escort though.
  13. Considering shots on target generally give you a chance to score, I'd say it's a top priority for every team in the league. Not really, scoring goals, keeping clean sheets and getting points is the top priority. Do you think Arsenal who had 24 shots and 6 on target are saying well done lads good point at Leicester, we done well we had 6 shots on target. No, they're saying 'Lads, you had 24 shots and 6 on target. You need to hit the target to score. I'm disappointed in your ability to turn shots into goals.'
  14. Considering shots on target generally give you a chance to score, I'd say it's a top priority for every team in the league.
  15. @ Stoke - 7 shots, 1 on target, 1 goal. Newcastle - 10 shots, 0 on target Hull - 11 shots, 4 on target, 2 goals. In the league so far 28 shots, 5 on target, 3 goals. Gabby and Andi, as much as I like them, need replacing for better players. (NOTE: I know not ALL of the shots listed where by these 2 players and I know that they are the ones who have scored the 3 goals)
  16. Are you happy with the new additions to the squad though? Surely that's more important than the numbers behind it? Sure, I'm happy with Cissokho, Sanchez, Senderos and Richardson. Hutton coming back in and playing well, Zog getting a run after all his injuries.. but I'm disappointed that we didn't improve our attack and add some decent creativity and width in the squad. Spending the 4th least in the league is shocking for a club that has narrowly escaped relegation for the last 2 years.
  17. We have spent about the 4th least in the league. I don't know what to say about that
  18. Come again? I rather suspect he can't for a few hours. I'll keep setting them up, you keep knocking them out of the park
  19. Mark McAdam ‏@markmcadamtv Ron Vlaar has just left the Aston Villa training ground for the 8th time today...
