  1. Well he played against the Baggies, so would assume not.
  2. The boggies have a bad run in and they aren't playing that well. I'd say he definitely have enough about us to get 6 points from our remaining five games.. Them on the other hand, they've dragged themselves into a relegation fight. Would be amazing if they lose out and get relegated while we overtake them, finish 13th and win the Cup
  3. Not out for Sherwood, but bad decisions today
  4. Looking nothing like the player I thought he was. World Cup scouting strikes again
  5. TS strikes me as the kind of guy who is a good judge of character, and he would only buy players who are driven and committed. Team players.
  6. We'll get 12 points from our next 9 games. Should be enough to stay up.
  7. When we win our remaining games this season and lift the FA Cup in May, with European Football beckoning, with the new TV money in our pocket and fancy new owners, I reckon we'll make a run for Gerard Pique. Shakira and Helen Flanagan at VP.
  8. Was thinking this morning. Sam is 10 months old tomorrow, and me and the missus have been married 9 months on Friday. Where does the time go?
  9. I think we'll definitely see a start for Given, Bacuna, Gil and Zog.
  10. I didn't say it was going to be easy, but it is self explanatory. If we win those 3 games against teams also battling relegation, which we CAN do, then we'll be safe. So yes, all we need to do is win those. It's simple.
  11. Apart from Sunderland our away games are write offs, and I imagine it being a nervy draw no side wants to lose. This then means we have to win 3/5 home games..... Swansea, QPR, Everton, West Ham, Burnley. Certainly doable
  12. IMO all we need to do is beat Sunderland, QPR and Burnley. Those are the 3 must win games for me. If we can sneak some results in-between them (a win against Everton?) all the better, but 35 points will be enough to stay up this year.
  13. Don't know why you think CB isn't/wasn't fired up. Seems pretty happy with TS after the game.
  14. Why are people moaning that he didn't 'celebrate'? He was probably relieved to have scored the penalty and was taking it all in. Could see his confidence grew with that goal.
  15. Glad he's featuring again. Always rated him. Be nice to see him on the right this weekend since Hutton is out, unless he's thinking of putting Bacuna there and leaving Lowton on the left?
  16. Gabby AND Zog!? Seriously man... Gil, Sinclair and Bacuna on the bench? We deserve to lose
  17. Might as well give Graham Burke a chance from the bench instead of Andi/Gabby.
  18. Paul Lambert would have been slated, absolutely slated, if he'd been positive about the last two games. You would though have to put it in the context that Lambert had been here for more than 2 and half years. Had overseen one of the worst run of results in the clubs history. Had overseen game after game of dour, negative football. Sherwood has been here two weeks. Been in charge for two games. I think most would agree that game on game there has been an improvement. On Saturday for the first time I saw urgency in our play. An appreciation from the players that they realise we are in deep shit and a desire to get us out of it. We didn’t win but for me it was a step in the right direction. One of the positives of changing the manger is that the new man isn’t tarnished by past results and doesn’t carry that burden. I therefore think it would be unfair to judge him as if he had been here all through this run of dire results. I agree. I see the improvement and I'm slightly encouraged. But my point is people are praising Sherwood for his positivity. And I actually agree with that, I like his positivity. But Lambert got slated for being positive about a game we lost. To be honest I was just making an off hand point about how much we overanalyse press conferences and what managers say to the media when, in reality, I don't think it matters a whole deal unless they're saying something really specific or outrageous. Sherwood being positive in a press conference means nothing, as did Paul Lambert being positive in a press conference. What matters is what they say to the players. Lambert was obviously saying the wrong things. I hope Sherwood can start saying the right things I think that was because there was nothing positive about the game so Lambert was obviously just spinning media BS. At least Sherwood DOES have some positives to get out of that last 2 games.
  19. Time to bench the 'veterans' who clearly aren't showing signs of caring and putting on the youngsters with a point to prove who will give it their all.
