  1. Given his age you have to ask yourself, is he still hungry? On the plus side, he might give us a little more bite.
  2. That seems to be what Andrew Bridgen () seems to think this morning. Reckons that the likes of Cummings and the media will keep their powder dry the rest of this week and dump the motherload to tip the hypothetical vote next week.
  3. Was that letter genuine!? I honestly thought it was some kind of parody.
  4. I was there they day and I’m still **** furious and utterly baffled that they decided it’s not a penalty.
  5. Incredible anyone could vote for that idiot. Can you imagine hating yourself that much you'd vote for him?
  6. I'm wondering if Johnson will come out and use the word "irreversible" again this time.
  7. You’re absolutely right, they did play in the FA cup. When you check that line up it’s hard to argue it’s not a first team squad as well.
  8. “Some of our lads don’t like playing in winter so we’ll postpone until it warms up a bit, thanks”
  9. They haven't played since January 2nd. That's one way of getting a winter break! Wtf is happening at that club. Surely if you just sent all of the players away they'd have been completely clear by now? How have they not managed to contain this in 15 days??
  10. It would explain the lack of activity though. We’re 16 days into the transfer window and they’ve signed trippier (admittedly a good signing, albeit not a priority position) and wood. I expected more, much more at this point. I’d be annoyed if we did dealings with them on any level. To do so would be massively shortsighted. Their intention is to go down the financial doping path and shat all over the rest of the league. If they survive they’ll be ahead of us in 18 months.
  11. Isn’t their issue with signings that all the other premier league teams are refusing to do business? The only reason they got wood was because of a release clause. You really don’t want to be getting a bunch of untested foreign players into a relegation battle in this league - as evidenced by our relegation season. Even when they’re good players, and a lot of those signings clearly were as they’ve gone on to have great careers.
  12. I’m not sure that’s exactly true. It’s difficult to go down in history as a great prime minister without a proper crisis you can claim to have triumphed over. A good prime minister would have risen to the challenge and perhaps quietly seen it as an opportunity to be remembered forever. Statues and parliament square etc. All they had to do was manage it correctly and behave with a modicum of dignity. This clown saw it as an opportunity to have a bonfire of our democratic and civil rights and have his cronies embezzle a load of public money for good measure. Oh and get massively pissed up nightly while doing it.
  13. Not quite disowning him but about as close as you can expect. Wonder what’s prompted this move now so soon after that ruling? Could there have been some sort of private admission of guilt or maybe a disagreement about how to proceed with the case?
  14. Why not? She settled with Epstein. Can just imagine the headlines when he/the Queen settles the case and the victim walks away with a suitcase full of UK taxpayer money. I don't begrudge her though, none of it's her fault. He should be in jail, not facing a bill for his noncery.
  15. You have to feel a little uncomfortable for Sue Gray right now. The way this guy is piling the pressure onto her and using her as a human shield is pretty shameful.
  16. A work event with a shit-tonne of BYOB alcohol...I wish my meetings all started with us all getting smashed!
  17. It does explain why we have some of the worst death rates per capita and the general chaotic decision making throughout...none of them were ever **** sober!
  18. When you think of it in that way, from the lens of your own personal experience of life, where if you **** up, lie or just generally be incompetent you might be blamed, fired or otherwise held to account from your actions it might seem shocking. However, look at it from the Boris perspective. He's born into a family of enormous wealth and power. He's told from a young age how much better he is than ordinary folk. That he can do whatever he wants. He can do no wrong. He's never held to account when he makes a mistake or otherwise fails at anything. Is it any wonder he turns out the way he has? A completely unbalanced and disgusting human being?
  19. Can’t wait to see how the MET get out of investigating this one.
  20. Right age, development potential, sell on potential, decent price, position where we desperately need competition. Sounds like a no brainer.
  21. Do you think we'll reach a point where as a society we need to turn the screw on these people? I'm not in favour of mandatory vaccination, unless you're a health and social care worker because that to me should be part of a condition for employment, but I do think that telling them they can't go to a pub, restaurant, football match, concert or fly would change some idiot minds.
  22. It is subjective but as you point out it also relies on the data and how you interpret it. A 50% increase seems quite a big increase to me. Is there not also a compounding affect here as well? If flu kills 30000 people a year on average (a figure I just made up) and then a new virus comes along and kills 45000 a year (an increase of 50% on flu deaths), that's now 75000 a year dead on average rather than 30000 - giving you a figure of 150%. That's a figure called "excess deaths".
  23. What people mean when they say "live with it" is actually "accept that some people are going to die as a consequence of keeping things open". I get it though. We're all frustrated at the thought of not being able to go to the pub, get a meal at a restaurant, shops and other things being closed. It's hurting the economy and there's people losing jobs and that's terrible as well. No one wants it to happen. At some point we'll get to a stage where it's like seasonal flu where the vulnerable get a vaccine at certain times of year, and yes, a small number of people are still going to die from it, but I'm not sure are at that point yet. Those saying "live with it" are trying to rush to that point which will inevitably end up with people dying who really didn't need to.
  24. Like him personally, seems a good bloke, however we're conceding a lot of goals because of his positional sense, decision making and general lack of athleticism. He's got to be replaced or at the very least get some better competition.
