  1. Benteke really, really needs a partner in there. He is looking really creative but just has nobody on his wavelength to link up with. Get Weimann on, they've worked well together in the past.
  2. The A League is unwatchably awful unless you're actually at the ground, and it's ruined the standard of the Socceroos because talented kids can now make a living at home rather than going to Europe and actually learning to play. I nominally support Adelaide Utd but I'd rather the entire club fold than see Villa lose a single game. Anyway, I got a new cricket bat that I'd used and scored a 50 with before Christmas, and the beautiful current Villa away shirt. Very happy with how I've done!
  3. Just as a follow up, after wearing the away shirt I got around for a day, I love it even more. The material is comfortable, the fit is perfect, slim without being too tight. They even made Dafabet look classy on the front. Originally I thought a tonal crest might have looked better but I now prefer that it has the full colour logo on it. I'd go as far as saying it's the best shirt we've had, home or away, in the modern football shirt era. And it was made by Macron! I'd still love a move to Umbro, but if Macron keep producing kits like this, they can manufacture our kits forever.
  4. I just got the away kit for Christmas (thank you very much online shop for the 25 pounds sales price) I'm almost weeping it's so beautiful
  5. I like Heskey as a bloke but at the same time he's the embodiment of our "bright future" dreams being shattered and gutterstomped.
  6. Bosnich just shading Guzan. I hope Guzan gets to play at this club behind a good defence a midfield at some stage during his time with us
  7. So what happens when you sweat? It's just trapped in? Odd.
  8. Not many players in the league could have scored that goal. World class. I just hope we can show enough intent in the transfer market to convince him to stay a bit longer.
  9. Since the rise of Okore I am content with Vlaar leaving. We'll miss Delph more I reckon. Hopefully we can invest whatever we get for them
  10. Fortunately the disgraceful red didn't cost us too much. Really good effort overall. Had we had the Scottish Cafu in in place of Lowton, we probably would have won against the form side of the competition. Happy with that.
  11. **** Lowton. That never would have happened if Hutton was playing
  12. What a **** brilliant goal. God I love you Christian Benteke
  13. It's a report on corruption, isn't it? The entire thing is legally sensitive. How can they do this kind of thing with absolutely no consequences. It's baffling.
  14. On the upside, making this sort of statement is great for the fans. We either get to see a genuine effort to improve, or we can throw this statement in his face when the funds don't come. Fox is definitely the guy to increase our revenue and hopefully flow that on to the measure of football, wages. I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt at this stage.
  15. I genuinely hope they vote to keep it hidden. Getting a watered down version of what actually happened designed to protect corrupt FIFA officials would be frustrating. I'd rather they stay the course and a few bigger nations simply pull out of FIFA.
  16. I would have walked out of Attack of the Clones because of Hayden Christansen if I wasn't on a date. I was literally looking around the cinema to see if everyone else had the same look of disgust on their face that i'm sure I had. The ewoks were a bit shit but give me a **** whole trilogy of them before one more scene with Hayden Christiansen ffs. Jake Lloyd was poor but forgivable. Kids. Hayden Christiansen was the single greatest casting **** up in the history of film.
  17. I've always been fascinated by Bournemouth's crest because it looks like they totally ignored English football crest design philosophies and went with something that looks Italian.
  18. Was Gabby off? one of their dudes was inside the net.
  19. Wow great call ref. Hutton stands up and that **** is still right in his face.
  20. Oh my god we needed that finish so badly. I love you Alan Hutton
  21. YYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS ALAN HUTTTONNNNNNN
  22. Playing well, we just need to find the net so badly. It's more than just this game on the line. We need to be able to score goals when we're all over a team like this and one could open the floodgates
  23. In South Australia for a sufficient drink driving offence (over .08) you'd lose you vehicle for 28 days and your licence for 6 months to a year. And yet we (I'm a police officer) still get lots of people calling in reporting their friends and loved ones because they don't know how else to get through to them. It's odd, obviously in non-traffic offences we deal with a lot of lifetime criminals who are 3rd generation unemployed etc and we see them time and time again. With traffic offences like drink driving, you get normal people like you or me who would starve rather than commit a theft, but think nothing of driving home drunk or speeding etc, and just get caught for the same stuff over and over again. I feel like you have to work quite hard to have your drivers licence taken away from you, committing either a major traffic offence or a series of smaller ones. You have to actively be breaking the law all the time, and yet so many otherwise good honest people manage it.
  24. This may have been already posted but have people seen the Puskas award top 3? Obviously Van Persie and Rodrieguez made it in with their World Cup efforts but the 3rd one was from a women's match in Ireland with about 20 people watching. The best way I can describe it is if they remade that "The Last Game" animated short film from the World Cup with Thierry Henry in it, this is probably the goal he'd score. Whether it should win or not given the stage it was scored on I don't know, but it's absolutely glorious.
