  1. I'm pretty sure this is the first leak since palletgate isn't it? We've done pretty well tbh. Some clubs seem to get leaked every single year. I guess it's easy to leak the Man U shirt when 50 billion of them get made and shipped worldwide, but we still run a pretty tight ship in general with shirt leaks.
  2. I figure that Lambert and Lerner meeting means absolutely nothing as NurembergVillan says Either it's to discuss the sale or it's to discuss what we're doing until the sale happens. Who knows?
  3. The Alex Wright/Disco Inferno tag team is arguably the greatest tag team of all time.
  4. I would literally be fine with us clearing everyone in the squad out and starting over again, although it would hurt me a little bit to see Gabby in another team's shirt. We realistically need to strengthen everywhere but GK. Where do you start?
  5. Has anything happened today or are we still for seal?
  6. I've been scoffing at Liverpool fans each week showing me the "Premier League table if only goals scored by English players counted" as if it matters at all. The premier league as a league should be aiming to be the best league in the world. There is definitely a coaching issue, but as villa4europe said, there is a problem with the most talented English kids going to a big club and sitting on the bench for them earning megapounds. I'm not really sure what you do about it though. Try telling a 20 year old he should be earning 20,000 pounds a week every game for Swansea or Hull instead of earning triple that to sit on Chelsea's bench. Maybe have a centrally contracted national squad of maybe 30 players who are paid match fees for every premier league game they play, giving them incentive to either move to a club that will play them regularly or go out on loan.
  7. I hate that we're so shit at the moment that we don't have anyone anywhere near this squad. I'd love to get an England shirt with Delph or Agbonlahor on it but the team is so shit and their form is so patchy that they were never really in the running. Oh well, maybe next cup.
  8. If it fits like a shirt and not like a garbage bag I might get that. But i'm more likely to get the away
  9. As long as someone sacks him I guess.
  10. I really want West Ham to win if Liverpool lose.
  11. I'm not going to miss football this offseason. **** this shit. Get this stupid game over with and get all these horrible players out of the shirt
  12. God I hope he doesn't play A League. We have too many players who could be a lot better playing A League when they should be playing in Europe. And not in the bloody Middle East or Asia ffs.
  13. Yes - But could it be a mis calculation on Lerners part. What he might have meant to say was "theres always an of season review - where those sort things will be discused'" - where as his actual words "I will make a statement on my own position at the end of the season" ......ergo we got "My position is the results on the field are not acceptable - Ive taken steps to address that [sacks manager]". When I first seen Lerners statement my initial reaction was that a 2nd statement clarifying his position - would follow about 30 minutes later ......I just wonder if he couldn't be bothered, or we are in his thoughts so little - he's not given us much thought since.... I really think the whole thing stems from a bit of lost in transalation.. The whole thing is purely based on semantics. Exegisists have had a field day. It is not Randy Lerner's fault if others misinterpret his statements & then fly off wildly & quixotically into fantasy. People make what they want of it & do. Absolutely But it may be Randy Lerner or Paul Faulkner's job to deal with the fallout of crushed supporter expectation.
  14. If there isn't a takeover now this will be among the worst sports club PR I've ever seen in my life. To allow fans emotions to run wild with speculation of some of the world's richest men buying us and have no takeover at all, when he could have come out at any stage and stopped the speculation would be an absolute disaster and would destroy any goodwill people have left toward the current administration. Just how bad a PR cock up it would be if there were no takeover now is probably the only thing keeping me hopeful that there will be a takeover. Lerner isn't an idiot and sport as a business is about selling hope. If he comes out on Monday and says business as usual he will crush the fan base, but only because he's allowed speculation to go crazy.
  15. I know, what is it with the Group of Death? I don't think there is one stand out group of death this tournament, there are a few pretty tough ones, Holland's group included. Spain, Chile and Australia can spring a surprise when you don't want them to. We've had the group of death for as long as I can remember. In fact I've just had a look and I'd say the last time we had a... comfortable group was in 1998! Not this year. Our two most talented players are Cahill and Bresciano who are both 34. Our best player is probably Robbie Kruse from Bayer Leverkusen but he did his knee in January and will miss the World Cup. Our next best is Mile Jedinak from Crystal Palace, but unlike previous World Cups, the vast majority of our squad will play in minor European leagues, Asia, or worst of all the A League.
  16. I'd love to see him start, and we really don't have a whole heap to lose at this stage.
  17. The tighter the better, the last thing I want is another macron garbage bag
  18. The other 9 clubs are probably benefitting more from the ruling than Man City than they are. Big clubs that don't have the bottomless pit of money City do are probably really happy with the rule, because it keeps them well ahead of their domestic rivals. They can't spend unlimitedly, but they can spend a lot more than the clubs lower down and they're happy that way. Man City have that bottomless pit of money and basically don't care what other clubs spend because they can match it, so it's in their interest to challenge the ruling and challenge FFP. I hope they win.
  19. Based on this, Harry Redknapp, Martin O'Neill or Steve Bruce maybe?
  20. That Millwall shirt is great. Again, can we just have that one in Claret and Blue thanks Macron?
