  1. league - comfortable 12th with some good football League Cup - 4th round FA Cup - 5th round
  2. Owners play a fairly insignificant role in the NFL as their revenues are divided equally amongst all 32 franchises, there is a salary cap, and a draft for incoming talents from the college ranks. It's basically hit or miss depending on the General Manager (CEO) you hire and in turn the Head Coach they hire.
  3. If the wage bill is not sorted by now, it will never be.
  4. I think SPL clubs should allow TRFC to remain in the top flight but under the condition that they adopt the name "Rangers 2012 FC". Kind of how Brad Pitt let some of the bad guys live in Inglourious Basterds
  5. Mellberg should be on the tournament best 11 list. That is all.
  6. Seeing that our wages are/were higher than that of Spurs and most other PL clubs, we really need to have someone at the club that is good at valuing and negotiating player contracts.
  7. That link did not work for me. Anyone know what the promo code is? Also I just moved to NYC and I checked-out the NY Villans website. Does not seem to have been updated for quite some time. Anyone have updated information on the group?
  8. UA is massive in the USA and they are very well known for their designs, sportswear technology and marketing. Not sure one can say the same for Macron in Italy.
  9. By 'bullied' the Nike Exec probably means begged like a little girl. I could definitely see it as RL had just bought the club and Nike might have thrown us a bone because of the off chance that we were going to be the next Chelsea. I believe the kit manufacturer says a lot about the stature of a club and also business acumen. If we could not get one of the big boys (Nike, Adidas, Puma) to do a deal with us I would have liked us to have tried for up-and-coming/hip companies like Li Ning or UnderArmour. Macron is neither here nor there. I believe UnderArmour signed a massive deal with Spurs. Shows how relevant our club is
  10. Just don't think City and Chelsea are role models. Rather do it the Arsenal and Tottenham way. Starts with bringing in a competent CEO.
  11. Liverpool will probably come in with a bid for him. They seem to like to throw money at above average English players.
  12. Colonel Sanders could manage more votes from Chickens.
  13. He needs to hire a competent CEO and stop getting involved in the hiring of the club manager or designing the club crest, because he does not have a clue in those two areas.
  14. Off the pitch we aren't really trend setters either.
  15. Well then why did the Sheikhs go for Man City?
  16. Gabby was excellent. One of his best games. Don't like that AM goes into a defensive shell at the end of games. It cost us at QPR and could do so in the future.
  17. We are an average side and will get runnover by the Big 6 (formerly Big 4)
  18. I'm not ready to proclaim that McLeish has our defense sorted. Quite a few times Wolves players were unmarked in the last third of the pitch. If it was a better side it could have gotten ugly.
  19. If Makoun's wages is the issue, Randy needs to sell the club immediately because it will confirm he has no clue what he is doing. Makoun was not a MON signing, he was only signed last January when our wages issue was well documented.
  20. Not sure how people can judge him so quickly. Dzeko, Drogba, among others took some time to settle into the PL. Look at them now! Even the likes of Downing and A.Young took time to show their potential once they came to us.
  21. This is all part of the Randy Lerner starvation diet. Just wait till injuries and suspensions.
  22. like todays performance this season has mid-table mediocrity written all over it. Herd and Gabby were very good. AM took too long to make the substitutions.
  23. poor first half and AM made the substitutions too late.
