  3. its about 3 hours long isn't it?! watched django again today, still like it, still think its too long, the scene with QT is completely pointless and at times the violence is a bit too gratuitous , I don't mind violence but its violence for the sake of violence and over cooked, think its the acting that sets it apart its pretty much superb all round "I count 6 shots n*gger" "I count 2 guns n*gger" I found the QT scene really absurd. Seemed like it was 'stuck on' as an after thought, and the acting was terrible. QT looked like he'd thrown the nearest cowboy shirt and hat on with his own jeans!! Really odd!!
  4. In the last 3 months I've had a groin injury, broken metatarsel, and an ongoing back problem yet ran my fastest 10k ever last sunday. Been to the chiropractor twice in the last week. Anything could happen!!
  5. Anybody else had there number yet?....still waiting :-(
  6. Blokes who take golf too seriously, particularly those who pull u up on 'etiquette' then proceed in walking all over ur line on the green! Love the game but hate the pr*cks that play it!
  7. Any particular type?....or just the general blokey loud type? Examples..... :-)
  8. Take it easy, mate. I know from bitter experience how bad they can be. I'm fine now but Jesus Christ I genuinely thought I was dying. Definitely something you don't appreciate until its happened to you. Scariest experience ever. Relaxation is the key...mental not physical. I once had a panic attack that was on and off for a week!! Awful feeling. Since I cut down considerably on my alcohol intake they have never really returned...funny that!!
  9. This.... Being a yam yam I have had 'brummies' try and take the piss over the years, but to anyone more than 30 miles from us we all sound as daft as each other. I've always said that in the league table of shit accents yam yam is top with brummy a very close second! A nice kipper tie in acocks grine anyone :-)
  10. Well if we're a million miles from top 6 then we must have been 10 million away 2 years ago, so at that rate it shouldn't be long! Albion finished 8th, we can do better than that...we've spent loads more money than them for a start :-) I think you're selling us short mate
  11. Ha ha...3 defeats on the spin and it's randy lerners fault. Where was this thread for the last 3 months of last season?? Yes he has made 1 real bad managerial appointment but u cannot deny he has pumped a massive amount of cash in. Do fans not realise this?? Everybody just calm down :-)
  12. Can I 'get' a large coke....... No, you can 'get' lost!!
  13. Americanisms that have 'GOTTEN' to be the norm on villatalk!!!
  14. Nope. I agree with you. He's become the focal point of the McLeish-based hate campaign. Yes he has. That said having spent a life time watching RB's more than any other player I honestly think he is a really poor defender and that has nothing to do with McLeish. What is it that floats ur boat with right backs??
  15. Can you elaborate on this? Why? I find them inspiring? My thoughts on this are that for years people with disabilities wanted to be accepted as normal human beings, to integrate and be treated like anyone else....which I think, in the main, has happened. The paralympics was an event where they seemed to be singled out and be overly publicised....as in...'look at these athletes, they are special', when really they are just athletes. Surely we should focus on there athletic ability and not there dis-ability. Or more to the point the media should
  16. Luke Moore was definitely better than gabby for the same reason. Who would u rather have? Luke Moore hasnt had too bad a career though, he has won more trophies than Gabby. Obviously Gabby is better for us, because of his style, just thought bringing up the Luke Moore analogy was a bit off. Too bad a career??? Didn't do a thing at albion and gets thrown on for last 20 mins for swansea every week! Gabby is by far a better player and done far more in his career. I'm not saying bowery will do well for us, more that delfouneso, I fear, will be another player that will fall by the wayside after showing so much promise early on. When I first saw Luke Moore I thought he was fantastic...he had everything, and was so strong on the ball for a young lad. Delfouneso the same...but without that real drive and determination these young lads will never progress on talent alone
  17. Luke Moore was definitely better than gabby for the same reason. Who would u rather have?
  18. The only person responsible for de-valuing darren bent is darren bent. So PL should have compromised everything he was trying to instill into his team by playing him just to keep his price tag as high as possible?? I was at wigan last game of the season and I thought bent looked really good....very sharp and eager. Shame he couldn't do it earlier in the season.
  19. Will the Barry Bannan thread ever return?? If not can I start a new one?
  20. yeah its a bit all over the place. Every other thread it seems are about us instead of keeping one thread to slag us off...like we have for them :-). That's why they're getting angry all the time about villa being there main subject of conversation. I think there's quite a few villa on there tho to be fair. A so called blues fan posted a clip of villa fans at arsenal jubilantly jumping up and down singing 'the blues r going up then there going straight back down'. It really is entertaining
  21. Bannan has contributed to victories but in recent games the likes of Delph and Sylla have had bigger impacts. I believe the reason Delph and Sylla have bigger impacts is because there style of play suits us more than Bannan's. As I've said before both Delph and Sylla are 2 athletic, dynamic players who thrive in our high tempo, high energy system of play. Bannan is neither dynamic or athletic so he isn't really built for it. Whereas Delph will look to pick up the ball and drive at the heart of the defence, Bannan will look to thread a pass to a more advanced player. Both are fine, but in our system we would rather have someone like Delph, who is quite direct. Whereas if we were Swansea, maybe Bannan would be a better option as his main qualities lie in his technical ability. I think the reason Bannan is being sold is because he is unhappy sitting on the bench for majority of games and there are better suited players out there than Bannan for the way we play. You keep comparing him to delph and sylla. What about westwood? He's a more 'technical' player, why can he fit in to our style of play and not bannan?
  22. It's no coincidence that the 2 clips of his passing abilities on the previous page are against Lithuania and notts forest. Lesser teams that give him time and space. Better teams do not do this. Or am I uneducated?
  23. I'm an educated football fan, I watch la liga, I see that swansea are a good passing side that have done well. I can see that bannans better attributes are his passing. It's not our style of play he doesn't suit, it's the league that we play in...it's above his standard. He's a championship player
  24. I'm saying he isn't dynamic or athletic enough for our style of play. My humblest apologies for boring you, I was in the shower. Haha, ur not boring me, I'm boring myself! So do u think he would thrive in swansea's side?? Thing is, there's loads of 'technically' gifted players who are not good enough. I'm one :-) I think he will, if he doesn't make it at Swansea, I will hold my hands up and admit that he isn't good enough. I just think it'll be interesting to see him in a system which will probably suite his game. What do you think? :L Even if he goes to swansea he will still have to have defend. I know what ur saying about him....a few times I've thought he looks like he's capable of something special. But ultimately he's frustrating and, imo not good enough. As I said earlier I think he'll find his level in the championship and probably look really good like thingy at cardiff...........what's his bloody name...left sided midfielder who scored a load one season...ahhh peter whittingham!!! That's him. He was also what u would say good technically but not good enough to play!
