  1. Interesting opinion Interesting and accurate. Nice post rigo
  2. Why?....even if they're complete idiots? I wish he'd come and belted the bloke behind me in the north stand. Supporting the team means being positive, looking at everything through claret & blue specs, and backing them to the hilt...no matter what. I have never boo'd my own team and never will. I don't blame lambert for having a go
  3. I notice this all the time. I doubt it's limited to only our fans but I can't stand it. They want possession, they want it to only go forward. You can't keep possession without going backwards sometimes. Exactly
  4. Its just you blaming the fans for Lamberts inadiquacies of not being able to coach, motivate and instill confidence in the team. The fans don't help at all though do they. Had one idiot behind me who didn't shut up for the first 25 mins....not a peep when we were winning tho. Lambert is a good manager, we will finish with more points than last year, of that I'm sure
  5. Think it's just you. The fans have become that way because they know its going to get hoofed forward. We've also played some awful long ball stuff away from home as well. If the fans want it passed forward as soon as possible then inevitably it will be hoofed. There is nothing wrong with passing it backwards....now there's something to think about
  6. Something I noticed today, and other games at vp I've been to. Fans are always bemoaning are inability to keep possesion of the ball. When we are in possesion the vocal element in the crowd are urging us to pass forward. We make 4-5 easy passes across the defence and u can hear the tension rising...'forward...forward' they scream. Then the ball is passed backwards and the neanderthals are apoplectic....thus creating panic in the team and the player in possesion, who then feels he must punt it forward immediately to appease the idiots. Then it is described as hoof ball, that we are s**t and that's all we can do. Or is it just me???
  7. I don't think norwich were awful at all.
  8. 'comfort food', 'comfort eating', 'comfort cooking'.......yeah comfort food is stuff that u really like and may not be too healthy....but this whole new 'genre' (thats another story) of 'comfort food' related cooking programs is beginning to get on my tits. Isn't comfort eating just greed?
  9. I have suffered with anxiety at various degrees of severity over the years. My first ever panic attack came after smoking too much weed, and I can categorically state that alcohol made my problems a hundred times worse. I lead a pretty healthy life these days, having turned 40 I think u have no choice!!...but I haven't had a panic attack for years and that has coincided with a dramatic reduction in alcohol and keeping fit, I usually run 20+ miles a week. I'm not saying that everyone should do this but, for me, I find it astounding that some people see no link between drug/alcohol use and anxiety/depression. I know there are people who have never gone near drugs/alcohol who suffer. I used to drink a lot in my late teens and was incredibly relaxed! It's the continued use that catches up with u. If I have a heavy session on a saturday now, it takes me 3-4 days to recover...and when I mean recover, I mean my anxiety levels returning to normal!
  10. well on current form table of last 10 games as you insist has 6 teams below us and of them 6 teams, 5 of them are below us in the table and Swansea has same amount of points The standard currency is last 6 games which has us 17th with WBA Cardiff and Fulham below us . I can see Fulham improving though as they have a better squad and manager than us . Better squad and manager?!!
  11. Yeah 'walk' being the operative word. I wouldn't want him anywhere near the first team thanks. How's his 'Richard Dunne style' season long injury doing? Waste of space, waste of money, typical modern day overpaid prima donna. I'd rather have bowery in the team Oh dear! What a dreadful post Ok I might have been a tad harsh regarding his injury. It's just that I will never forgive this guy for some of his performances under mcleish.

Waste of space, waste of money, typical modern day overpaid prima donna. I'd rather have bowery in the team Glad your not the manager! He suffered horrible injury and Lambert plans to use him when he returns. He lifted us last season in a similar position. He scored 1 free kick, that's it. He's a dreadful player, the worst in my eyes because he has the talent just no application.

  14. I noticed that as well. Nearly everytime the ball deflected off someone or one of our players tackled and the ball would always go to a Newcastle player. Even for the goal, De Jong has a shot that deflects off Baker and ends up with Remy scoring. Its obviously not the reason we lost but it was strange. Lambert isn't going to escape that embarrassing performance without my 'two cent'. Loaning out Gardner was criminal and not bringing on Clark for Bertrand was even worst, we lost that game, like many this season, due to PL's inept tactical knowledge and constant poor substitutes. How is loaning out gardner criminal? It's going to take him the best part of 12 months for him to get up to speed. To throw him into the team now would be criminal. A few poor performances and our 'fans' would start ripping into him.
  15. I think you lot have forgotten how bad we were to be honest
  16. I'm sorry but I can't let this comment pass me by. If anyone thinks this period of time at villa is worse than the last 2 months of mcleish's tenure, when this 'decent' 1-1 draw took place, then they are absolutely, 100% totally wrong. That 1-1 draw was one of the most inept performances I have seen at villa park...dire.... lacking in direction, skill & application. Clark scored from a speculative 25 yard shot that took a deflection and looped over friedel into the net. It was the only attempt at goal of any worth and to this day I do not know how we came away with a draw. N'zogbia's performance that day was so bad it was comical...I seriously thought he was doing it on purpose. I agree we should be doing better, and to lose to a goal in the last minute like we did today is a sickener. Yes on form I expected us to win today, I really did, but newcastle is still a tough place to go. We're not very good at the moment...but we're miles better than under mcleish. A lot of what you have described there applies to us this season under Lambert and the second half today. Especially lacking in skill and direction. We're still miles better than under mcleish

  18. It was from last night, 8 of ten cats does countdown Ha ha yeah I saw that last night...made me chuckle :-)
  19. I know it must be awful for the victims of the recent floods, having to watch their homes totally ruined and not being able to do anything to stop it, but........ I just don't get some people laying the blame squarely at the feet of the government. I just don't know what anyone can do to make a significant difference.
  20. Are you pacifically talking about silly mistakes? I do route planning for a transport company & when we have a specific timed delivery I put it down as S09:00 for example, on the daily planning log. I got asked the other day why I put an 's' before the time and I said 'it means specific'...he replied 'so why do u put an s??' :-(
  21. Are you showing off just because you know how to spell fiancee??!
  22. Ha ha damp squid!! A mate of mine thought that a left handed boxer was a 'south port'.
