  1. That's going some, well done. I'm also struggling with a hip/groin/upper thigh injury that won't go away. I've been using a foam roller which seems to help...do u use one?...does it help??
  2. Phone is adequate if your just doing it for interest. I have a Forerunner 110 its more accurate and you upload after and get amore accurate info. The premium is of interest but doubt it would warrant long term investment. Need to figure out m max heart rate to make the most of it i think. Yeah I've found the mapmyrun app pretty good which is similar to strava and have used it alongside my forerunner. The forerunner is more consistently accurate but mapmyrun is more user friendly....yet the forerunner gives u more detailed info. To be fair to say that they are free, strava/mapmyrun/runkeeper apps are pretty darned good. Think it boils down to whether u want to spend at least £100 or not
  3. I had a wee earlier whilst weighing myself on the bathroom scales...the weight loss was minimal
  4. Er no. He's a striker every day of the week.
  5. How and when did we find out that baselayers was jj??
  6. This. Guzan is a good keeper, nothing more imo. I think a lot of his mistakes get over-looked on here whereas others, bennett & holt for example, get ripped to pieces. In fact holt hadn't even had chance to make a mistake before the vultures were on him! Evertons free kick, brunt & mulumbu's goals, arsenals 2, I think he should have done better with all of them.
  7. Don't blame you one bit. I'm sick of watching at home but to actually be in the stadium and pay for that dross must be incredibly frustrating. It is, and what's worse is I'm letting my son waste his time watching this garbage too. Something has to change. Yeah stay at home, best place for you :-)
  8. The last 4 games I've been to I have seen 23 goals, 1 draw, 3 wins. Sunderland 6-1 Wigan 2-2 Man city 3-2 Albion 4-3 Shall I go today at the risk of spoiling my goal laden run??
  9. I went to this, remember running round the holte end because it was that empty. Attendance was 4,000
  10. This one comes up time and time again, doesn't it? I'm in the (almost) opposite camp - people who insist on pronouncing foreign names in a British way. Admittedly, there's no need for an exaggerated attempt at an accent, but correct pronunciation of the vowels and consonants is just good manners as far as I'm concerned. I find I reluctantly go along with the majority much of the time, just to avoid the guffawing that would ensue, but personally I'd rather say "Yon Carev" (if that's correct) than "John Caroo". But that would ruin the song! :-) I noticed on MOTD last night that David Luiz has now become da-vid lueesh. Other belters include karim el acmedi, ole gunner sol-shara, & john motsons cringeworthy jochim luuurv!!
  11. The guys in facilities told me that the women's toilets are worse actually. They had to use a scraper to get some of the dried snot off the walls. Ha ha...dried snot!! Jesus there's some classy birds aboot
  12. Who decides it's headline news? I didn't. I don't think it is...probably along with a lot of other people. It's far from a 'sad' situation.
  13. I took a video of the fireworks from the top of Primrose Hill as a little keep safe. It was surprisingly easy to hold the camera still above my head and focussed on the fireworks as well as enjoying them through my own eyes. Can't really see an issue with that. Keepsake!! Grrr
  14. I haven't encountered this one before But It's the sort of crap people spew out that gets my goat!!!
  15. Here here that man, common sense prevails! Excellent post
  16. Did anyone expect anything else today??....well yeah I did actually, I thought it would be 0-4. This season I think will take the same course as last...start okay, poor festive period, as usual, then a decent finish, only we're that bit better this season. I know we appear to have gone backwards from the end of last season but we have another load of new, raw players trying to settle in. Okore getting injured has been massive, I think he was the one player who would have made a huge difference to us. Okore & vlaar at the centre of defence. See?...just saying that sentence makes u feel more confident. It's unfortunate we have had to rely on baker & clarke again. These two are both good paired with vlaar but together just look shaky at best
  17. Yes I agree, but strangely it followed the sunderland game which was one of the best atmospheres at vp (along with qpr 3-2) I have witnessed for years.
