I suppose it's natural that some will become nervous as teams below us win and we continue to lose. One win is all it will take though and I really can't see us reaching the end of the season without winning at least one more game. Hopefully tomorrow!

I think, fortunately, we'll get a win against Leicester. So far it is the middling teams that Gerrard has managed to get us results against and I expect that to continue.

It was a mistake by the club to let Matt go out on loan as it left us short if Digne got injured. Which he has. Not going to blame any individuals, just going to hope that the club think fully about transfers in the future and don't make this same mistake again.

I think the two preseason games that were cancelled due to COVID really sent us into the season undercooked and left us playing catch up. It damaged our confidence and I don't think we've ever really recovered.

Not doubting the statistics but we were 16th when Dean left and currently we are 15th so how are we 11th in the league since Gerrard came in? We weren't that far adrift under Dean were we? Maths is a funny old bastard

Yes, we need to be flexible in our signings and not just caught up on the chase of particular players. Until you get to the very top of the pile player wise there are a lot of options.

What ever you think of our wingers the fact is that the squad is set up to play with wide forwards, including spending £65m on two only last summer. That is one, of several, reasons why employing Gerrard as our manager was an odd choice. But he's here so now every thing rests on us having a summer to end all summers in terms of signing the players Gerrard needs to implement how he wants us to play. History suggests that buying in the 5 (or about that i'd guess) players needed and them all being a success is highly unlikely. Let's keep everything crossed as I think we are going to need to be very lucky

Every time I watch City I wonder how Fernandinho doesn't get more red cards. He could get booked three or four times every match.

Gerrard will be gone, one way or another, before Barry is ready for the first team so I wouldn't worry about it
