  1. Its the one where we ask our full backs to play as wingers, our eights play as full backs, our wide players play as midfielders, our central defenders to be our ball players and our forward to run around a lot and hope the ball comes near him. Simple really.
  2. Probably proves that it isn't the players and is the system and manager
  3. The only way we are getting something from this is by a moment of magic by someone like Bailey. We lack a game plan.
  4. Yes. Though we also looked far better at times under DS than we ever have under SG
  5. I've seen nothing from him to suggest that he has the tactical nous and managerial ability to get us into, or even near, european qualification. If the aim of the club is to get to that level then, yes, I feel he should be removed and a candidate more likely to succeed put in his place. However, I'm no longer sure the club is that worried about Europe and as long as we are safe midtable, I think Gerrard will remain safe as well.
  6. I once specuprognosticaturbated round a customer's house but it's ok, I wiped it in the curtains
  7. I'm sure you are right, people rarely take injuries into consideration when it come to manager criticism. They didn't with Deano, they won't with Gerrard.
  8. That is exactly who he reminded me of. He had three good chances to score and miss hit/ scuffed all three of them. I'm sure it was probably down to nerves in his first home game but I'm going to hope he's just shit
  9. Yes it does. Though he should definitely be choosing Buendia at the moment.
  10. That's where I'm at with them. I'm sure they're brilliant but I just don't have the opportunity to play enough to get the most out of them. Give me a single player experience of about 20 hours or a multiplayer I can easily dip in and out of and I'm a happy man
  11. If they can pick up a few points here and there whilst their team gels they should have enough in the second half of the season to keep themselves out of trouble. Their only problem will be if the team doesn't gel quickly and they end up with too large a mountain to climb.
  12. What a load of bollocks We all want what's best for the club, some feel that is Gerrard, some believe he isn't good enough If you want to blindly follow the club and every decision they make that's up to you but I reserve the right to express an opinion
  13. Unless we sell one of our CBs we are not going to buy another, we have 5 senior CBs. Let's hope Carlos is not too bad
  14. I'm not convinced he will get us top half this season but, by god, try playing our best players from the start and he might stand a chance.
  15. Ok so far, need to create more and then we can put the game to bed
  16. Part of me wants to reply doesn't matter we'll be shit whatever' But I'm trying to be positive so I'd say 4312
  17. Well that's not the team I, or pretty much anyone but Gerrard, would have gone for. It needs to work or the calls for Gerrard to go will start echoing round Villa Park
  18. As long as the manager makes the right decisions and the players apply themselves then we should win this.
  19. I think it's because it was the first game and because it was sooooo bad. We go into a new season with fresh hopes and dreams, believing we can be bigger and better than we were. To then be destroyed by a team almost certain to go back down has just deflated everything. Is it an over reaction? Probably, though it does look like a continuation of the poverty of performance from the second half of last season. Gerrard needs to look like he knows the issues and knows what he's doing rather than repeating the same mistakes week in week out. He needs to get a win against Everton and needs to do it in a way that suggests something to look forward.
  20. Your post makes sense right up to the point Gerrard picked McGinn as Captain. Inconsistent and now won't be dropped even when he should be.
