  1. I reckon this is all just circular rumours feeding each other and that he'll still be here come the world cup Would you like some piss with those chips?
  2. Poch has the experience of managing a team in our position and moving them to where we want to be. His football is generally easier on the eye than Emery's as well. I'd happily take either though.
  3. Maybe he's staying because Gerrard isn't? (that's a joke, he won't know diddly about the manager situation)
  4. Watching it now and it is by far the best of the Disney SW series. Mandalorian was fun in a 'adventure of the week' type of way, Obi was slow and dull and Boba Fett was utter shit. This actually feels like a proper series, with layered characters. Hopefully it will remain good.
  5. Meh. I live in an area that you could reanimate the corpse of Jimmy Savile and as long as you pinned a blue rosette to it certain people would vote for him. As it is my MP looks like a face drawn on a balloon and as far as I can tell has never done anything of note in the HoC other than agree with whatever the current PM is saying
  6. Honestly, who didn't laugh at that attempt! It was probably the most entertaining thing that happened in the game.
  7. I hope so. I got Marlon Harewood for one of my birthdays. There was no receipt.

Actually I think you can hold it against them, not because Gerrard has turned out to be an incompetent fool, but because he was the wrong type of manager. Supposedly we were going to have an over riding plan that meant that swapping managers wouldn't mean tearing up the book and starting again. We'd just spent millions on wingers and then changed to a system that involved none. We needed a manager experienced in moving a lower mid table team up the table and instead went for a man whose only experience was managing a team who had vast advantage over all but one of the league. It made as little sense as swapping from Houllier to McCleish. Obviously the owners have been brilliant for us so far and now they need to correct one of their few mistakes by showing Gerrard the door.
  9. Then how come we are worse on the pitch?
  10. Every manager wants more, of course, but you do have to try and work with what you have. Watkins, Ings and Archer might not be the best of forward choices but, let's be honest, we could have Haaland playing up front for us and it would make little difference. Gerrard has come out today and basically admitted he doesn't train us as an attacking unit, he waits for players to create 'magic'. That's not how you do it, you train and coach your players so that they know each others games inside out and you play percentages to give yourself the best chance of scoring. Gerrard was an old school player and he is an old school manager, he is the second coming of Steve Bruce.
  11. While they take some blame they are clearly not being coached effectively. Gerrard has as good as come out and said that they don't coach them to attack they merely wait for someone to supply inspiration. These players are well capable of one touch pass and move but have to stop and look up each and every time they get the ball because they have no idea what any other players will be doing. A well drilled attacking team will know that when Player A gets the ball in a certain are Player B will be making run into a different part of the pitch, the ball can be moved quickly and a defence can be split. None of that happens because the players are not being coached to do it. It is exactly the same as a Steve Bruce side and Gerrard is of the same standard of management as Bruce. Just realised this is the relegation thread, I'll move the conversation else where.
  12. The longer we keep him, the more relevant this thread becomes
  13. You have a lot of holidays.. are you my MP?
  14. Pointless thread while Gerrard is still here
  15. Yeah, Keane is a **** idiot. You could put Haaland in our team and we would continue to struggle to score goals because our team clearly haven't been coached in attacking play. That is on Gerrard. Gerrard and Bruce maybe a generation apart in terms of playing but they are both cut from the same cloth in terms of their management Try and keep it tight, hope someone on the pitch does something special.
  16. Steven Gerrard is making me genuinely angry and I'm usually a very sanguine guy. Get out of my club you useless fecker.
  17. You're a bad man and you know you deserve punishment?
  18. Reminds me, I must get some Toffolos in for Christmas, love their chewy goodness
  19. In fairness he was clearly going to play into Watkins and the realised the numpty, as per usual, was standing offside.
  20. Every single game we look like strangers on the pitch, do we even train together?
  21. Thank **** for Ashley! 37 years old and SGs best signing
