Exactly. I think people are easily swayed by the bullshit written about him on social media, including some Villa fans. He had an excellent season last season. You only need to look how shite the England defence were when supposedly filled with better players than Mings to know that there are few in this league better than him.

I think you guys would be wise to cash in on Phillips now. He seems to be picking up injuries more often and they're affecting him for longer. For Phillips, a move to Man City would be ideal, the chance to win stuff and probably only expected to play every third game, thus giving him a greater chance of staying fit. Obviously you'd then have to find the right midfielder to replace him but at least you would have a stack of cash to do it.

It will be interesting to see how the next election goes without the whole Brexit thing. So many of the 'red wall' constituencies were leave voters, will they revert to labour once Brexit is no longer the issue it was?

For me, whilst he has many qualities, he lacks the speed and intensity needed to become a top player in the PL. If we get a decent bid I think we'll sell.
