I work in Cov and in all my 3 years working here and being out and about I have noboby who gives a shit about Coventry City FC. I have seen in that time about 2 people wearing their replica kits which look spazmoid, and come to think of it I hardly see anyone talk about, have a passion for or there is a buzz about sport in general. Except when the Olympics was on. It really is an apathetic shithole of a place.

So Levy wants £125m. Remind me again how much the new development of WHL is costing? I heard somewhere that the majority of the Bale fee (when it happens) is going towards that.

Sorry for chipping on the installments bit. I have a book on corruption in football and one of the chapters had a few paragraphs on payments. As far as I can remember, if a fee is announced then it is generally seen as installments - there is an initial percentage of the fee paid upfront (Normally 50%), and the rest is paid over the period of the players contract. if it is disclosed, then it is the lot up front and the selling club doesn't want it known how cash rich they've suddenly begun.

Totally wrong Tinker. He didn't create his goals by himself. There were another 10 players on that pitch setting his goals up. I would say that, due to our defenaive frailties, that Guzan contribution was just as, if MORE crucial to us staying up. He saved us in so many games. It is a team game. I am 100% sure that Messi would NEVER take credit for his achievements without acknowledging his team mates contribution. 1 season in and a double your money pay rise is a great deal. Another season of the same and THEN you look at moving.

The beat thing Benteke couls do is sign a new deal and then we sell. We did it with Platt. He felt the club had given him his shot on the big stage so he signed a new deal and Big Ron kept his word to sell to Bari. Meant the club got more money and he left on good terms. Benteke is going very get an Anelka reputation as being a mercenary.

I know from my Belgian Villa mates that their attitude is basically he can do one and if anything they are more angry at his transfer request than I am!?

So Ashley Westwood, Andreas Weimann, Brad Guzan sign nee extended contracts along with new signings, showing, unlike in recent seaso s, a real effort from Villa to look to build something and ambition. This just shows how disrespectful to his fellow team mates Benteke's behaviour is. It's as if he is saying that last season was all about him. No appreciation of their contribution. This more than anything is what **** me off about this whole thing. And if Spurs fans think he'll be different there then let me say right now, a leopard never changes its spots.

I see some SPurs fans are seeing Bale in a Spurs kit on the pre-launch cover of Fifa 14 AND posing in the kit launch as a sign he'll stay. May I point them to Arsenal's 2007-2008 Away kit launch which featured Thierry Henry sat with the squad at the Gillespie Road Tube Staton, only to join Barcelona a few weeks later so having have his face photoshopped out to be replaced by I think Denilson.

A fantastic game. Wonderful bowling from Jimmy Anderson. Australia stepped up to plate and I felt did themselves proud considering the talk of getting battered etc. What I will say is that England's batting since the New Zealand tour has been very average, and the experiment of Joe Root opening just isn't working. Surprised that the squad is the same for Lords, I would have moved Root down the order and Finn needs time out the limelight to get his confidence and length back.

I'm sure Spurs fans will be as understanding and relaxed about it once Ancelotti has settled in and the bid from Madrid goes in for Bale.

Given his agent, exactly the type of place he could end up going. £100k per week, Champs League football (are they?), and the chance to move on in a years time citing all manner of reasons not related to being money-grabbing or even ambitious - homesick, too cold, racism. Seems like a perfectly plausible option. Plus playing under Hiddink for a year which with his connections would open the door to a move to a proper European powerhouse should he perform well.

Let me just see if I can find where tight caanntttt Levy compromised regards the sales of Modric and Berbatov? Oh yeah I forgot, he didn't. You see, it's okay for your club and chairman to play hardball, but expect other clubs to either roll over and get their tummys tickled or "compromise".

What a fantastic signing Newcastle have made in bringing Joe Kinnear in. Brilliant. I'm well chuffed. With uber word removed egotistic Pardew and mullet man they are surely nailed on relegation!? hahaha Mike Ashley must really hate the jawdees.

I think the talk of him being average is one that some could have layed at the feet of alot of our squad last season. Once Lambert gets hold of him I think we'll see this kid come on leaps and bounds. An example of Lambert, Kara and Culverhouses' coaching can be sen in just how much Fabian Delph has come on. He was consistently one of our best players from March onwards.

Friend of mine works for the VP marketing department (started recently). Says though they haven't seen it that they've been told that the away kit is black and white and the badge is too. So they're probably bulling me and it'll be flourescent pink or something
