  1. Explain? If I have to explain its not funny. Am I the only one that gets this?!
  2. I heard that we HAVE spoken to McLeish. I think it was along the lines of.. "Do us a favour Alex, **** off to Everton so we can get Moyes. Ta."
  3. Whoaaaa I've worked it all out. Villa fans 'twitchy.' Bent style 'meltdown.' Get your money on old meltdown face himself, twitchin 'arry!
  4. Surely if Moyes has resigned there'd be more than JUST the Liverpool Echo asked? Surely some 'ladys front bottom' from Sky would be camped outside with a bunch of dole scroungers and kids bunking off school flicking the V's and being 'cheeky' behind him on camera.
  5. Had to tweet Moxley.... @Neil_Moxley_DM Aw diddums the villa board not playing fair and actually keeping things quiet rather than the MON era leaks heh? Shame :'(
  6. No chance. That bloke won't go anywhere nowadays unless theres dosh to spend, a contract or club that gives him absolute power, and/or the chance of a takeover and guarantees of him having dosh to spend, job security and absolute power. *and in case he or his representative/lawyers reads this and feels litageous... haha joke!*
  7. Ginger American-Irish actually. McDonald is Irish. MacDonald is scottish.
  8. Hate to be a party pooper kids, but last time I checked we hadn't actually appointed Martinez, or anyone else for that matter?! But don't let that get in the way of slagging Randy and co off now will you!
  9. Aww can we now call Dave Whelan 'Uncle Dave' from now on. Kudos to him for his comments!
  10. As far the claims that Randy turned McClaren down on the basis of fan pressure, again a load of bollocks. IF Randy had listened to fan pressure then Moyes would now be the Villa manager. Hell he'd had been the manager last summer!
  11. And all this talk from Pat Murphy stating we wouldn't give Benitez £30m is bollocks. Do they think that if we had spoken to Ancelotti we'd refuse to give him a decent transfer kitty? Cockney and MON loving media once again at their worst!
  12. Lat time I checked we didn't actually have a manager. Calm down people.
  13. The one thing Martinez has in his favour that is similar to Villa. His teams can't **** defend either!
  14. I've got a book on football management and another one on dutch football and van Gaal is seen as a man who is a stickler for keeping the Rinus Michels philosophy going, is a huge believer in player development, not just at youth level but that a seasoned professional can always improve. And is a stern taskmaster who, like Mazrim says, does not suffer fools lightly. He is also a man who believes in the ethos, image and feel of a club, from top to bottom. I would be extremely chuffed if we got him, but I think we would have a player mutiny on our hands. If they felt that Houllier was strict, then boy would they be in for a shock with this fella!
  15. Who's to say that McClaren is being interviewed for the managers position? He's a respected coach so who knows, maybe a nicely paid coaching role will do his reputation no harm at all, afterall I'm sure that the manager will want his own coaching staff. Or maybe a more plausible role within the club, like the office tea boy.
  16. Bigging up Rijkaard now heh?! You'll have Didier think you're cheating on him!
  17. I popped a fiver on him earlier in the week at 50/1 just out of blind madness. Be a lovely £255 back if it comes off Didn't realise that Klinnsman had Premier League managerial exp. Where did they say premier league managerial experience? The phrase is a manager with premier league experience. NOT premier league managerial experience. Anyway, my bet was when I was pissed and thought fook it. Oh, ok...So they will choose someone with Prem Exp playing wise. I see. You really haven't been reading my posts regards Klinsmann at all have you? I stated I put a punt on him when I was pissed and thought '**** it'. How the hell you've turned this into a debate about premiership experience is beyond me?!? you are looking fare too DEEP into what I've said mate.

  20. IF we did take MON back then he would be under so much pressure to deliver that there would be no movement for any **** ups. But surely this would undermine the whole club having this self-righteous prick back?
  21. I think top managers have something coaches do not. An allureness about them. I've a book on how business can learn from football and top sports when dealing with management and they talk of Fergie quite alot and say that he never gets too close to the players, and has the aura of a father figure that they love but fear at the same time. McClown's problem is he has always been far too matey with players, so they automatically see him as no threat, that they can do what they want without fear of his wrath so to speak. Top managers have a stern coldness underneath their exterior. Fergie, Clough, Mourinho, Hiddink, even Dither. You just wouldn't **** them about really.
  22. As I said about Rijkaard. Gullit did great at Chelsea then turned up at the barcodes and was shit. I think they had great back up teams at Barca and Chavski and it showed. They really were brought in as figureheads I feel but believed their own hype. I know Rijkaard was at a club before but the set up at Barca was there anyway. Same as, for me, Kenny at Pool is really benefiting from having Steve Clarke in place. Damn if we poach him as whoevers number two (on a VERY long term deal) we'd be doing feckin great. Which brings me to McClown. I'd say okay to him as a number 2, but not manager. He just is far too matey with players and his reputation is tainted to the point that he would would be on a hiding to nothing. He would have to hit the ground running at the pace of Usian Bolt. Frankly, he hasn't it in him to do so.
  23. So it's the dithering rattle out of pram throwing stubborn one dimensional playing no plan B litagious fella back as manager then?! **** sake.
