  1. Maybe he's denied LOOKING to sell up as he has stopped looking and has found a buyer. I mean once I put my house up for sale I'm no longer looking to sell but am selling.
  2. Hey Bernie, why not make it like the Cannonball Run. After the last race we do all the tracks again but in reverse order AND the drivers swap teams. So first gets in the last drivers car and vice versa. What a joke!?

  4. Day 2 Lap times 1. Jenson Button (McLaren) 1:24.165, 43 laps 2. Kimi Raikkonen (Ferrari) 1:24.812, 47 laps 3. Valtteri Bottas (Williams) 1:25.344, four laps 4. Nico Rosberg (Mercedes) 1:25.588, 97 laps 5. Sergio Perez (Force India) 1:28.376 , 37 laps 6. Esteban Gutierrez (Sauber) 1:33.270, 53 laps 7. Marcus Ericsson (Caterham) 1:37.975, 11 laps 8. Sebastian Vettel (Red Bull) 1:38.320, 8 laps Renault powered engines struggling big time with major ERS over-heating issues. Mercedes & Ferrari powered cars showing upturned reliability. Yes Red Bull weren't the quickest in Jerez last year but Vettel still got 118 laps in the car. So far lots of problems. No doubt 2nd testing in Abu Dhabi will go better for the Renault cars but as things stand they are playing catch-up. Caterham the most consistent of the Renault cars. Williams showing encouraging times.
  5. The Mercedes and Ferrari powered cars all getting plenty of times in. The Renault powered cars doing shit.
  6. Saw "Dallas Buyers Club" last night. Great film and Matthew McCounaghey, who I've never really liked, is brilliant in it.
  7. Regards the loans I believe we can have more loans as Bertrand and Holt aren't season-long deals but half season deals. And I believe it's 2 domestic from the same division. I can't remember but a few seasons back either the noses of sheff utd/spam stayed up with a team full of loan signings!?
  8. Norwich have rejected a transfer request from Wes Hoolihan.
  9. And i thought we were great second half. In the past we'd had crumbled after that shit penalty decision and goal. But we didn't. We stood firm and actually looked bloody goo when we went forward. Losing Gabby didn't help us as the balance of the team went. Holt did fine when he came on but we lost the formation and balance we had. But we were pretty decent second half after a superb first half where we could have been 4-0 up easily. Very proud of the team tonight.
  10. Forgive me for sounding bemused but aren't we supposed to be a counter-attacking team?! I only ask as today I saw a Villa side take the game to the opposition. If we do this more often, especially at home, then we really do have a base to build from. Special mention to Bertrand. Signed 48 hours ago, thrown straight in. Tekka bo son.
  11. Which to me makes the alleged £750k more realistic and would add to Norwich's refusal to deal. Not the offer, but why such an offer. An example I can think of is Arsenal offering just over the release clause in Suarez's contract. Liverpool's refusal was as much to do with Arsenal's knowledge of what his release clause was as it was the low valuation, ie. we're not selling out of the principal of who told them such confidential info. I think there's a bit of that here.
  12. Maybe just maybe Villa's £750k offer is in his contract as a release clause and that's why we bid what we did? I'm sure his agent would have given us the nod on what it would take to get him. All off the record of course.
  13. This may be why Monaco are talking to Chelsea about Falcao?! Get him off the books perhaps
  14. Just watched American Hustle. A total unashamed homage to Martin Scorsese. But bloody hell it's brilliant, if not quite reaching the Scorsese-sensed pay off that Marty's films do but still it should win big at the oscars. So many great performances, for me Jennifer Lawrence's performance steals the show. Far better a homage than Jar Jar Abram's Spielberg homage. The Desolation of Smaug- Really enjoyed it. Flew by. Gravity - Great film. For me American Hustle is the best of the three.
  15. You can bemoan the lack of funds, the "young" squad, the injuries, but a lack of tactics, game plan, organisation and utilisation of the players available, the lack of movement, the lack of leadership on the pitch, lack of responsibility, intent and purpose in play, the buck... stops with the manager. If they aren't good enough at least get them fighting. This talk of a creative midfielder is good and well but what then? He'll be targetted by teams and we are **** clueless elsewhere so no way gonna take advantage. I wasn't one wanting Lambert. Frankly his Norwich side pissed goals at the back and he built this side without the pressure of the premiership. You simply can't rip apart a team and buy budget replacements in such a small period and expect to compete in the top flight. This is a disgraceful mandate by Lerner and Lambert is a **** idiot if he thought he could succeed doing it. Either that or he has the ego the size of the singer from Keane's moon face. If so he and Lerner are both suited to one another with their delusion. It will relegate this club.
  16. You see we talk about budgets and players at his disposal but he is failing to get them to do the simplest of things, such as passing the ball, ball retention, movement, intent, closing down. For such a young squad there is a real lack of energy or purpose. Yes more funds mean a high calibre of player but there is simply no excuse for constantly getting the basics wrong. And that is down to the coaching.
  17. Our possession is woeful. There is a real lack ofmovement. No creativity. No energy. We don't go hunting in pairs or close down opposition. You defend from the front and and we don't do that. Teams have found us out from an attacking point of view and now have no fear when attacking us. Lambert doesn't seem to have a clue how to rectify that with the squad he has built. i presumed he brought the players in the summer he did so that the squad could cope with injuries or lack of form, but he has bought such seemingly poor quality that the squad is worse and he has zero idea of how to change things. For such a 'young' squad I've seen more get up and go from the chelsea pensioners!?
  18. They were very very ordinary last season and Bale saved them time and time again by popping up with late goals in games. Their summer transfer philosophy was naive as well. Suddenly having and extra £85m to spend on top of the budget, they went like kids in a candy shop and spunked the lot when really the squad only needed tweaking. Far too many players coming in at the same time. Bit like us this summer by buying too many then having the pressure to start them and unbalance the team that did them (us) good.
  19. Not sure where to put this so here's as good I suppose as it's about music- I've 2 spare tickets for Shed Seven at the Institute in Digbeth on Saturday. If anyone's interested PM. Muchos gracios. Sorry if this is the wrong place mods.
  20. Just had my 4.4.2 as well. shutter speed doesn't seem that much quicker but focus is definitely more stable.
  21. The points thing is a joke. You can be a steady average driver all year but win the championship on the last race!? **** sake. Not that it'll change much while Vettel is driving a Newey car but it's still a woeful idea and if the title is neck and neck between 2/3 drivers yet a driver who has just consistently picked up points can win the championship if the title contenders all have a shit final race or rain changes things?! Makes a mockery of the previous races in the year.
  22. Hangout seems to not be able to send a text to multiple users on 4.4. Found this to my cost in my bill being walloped by mms. So get hold of a sms app in play or you'll get stung by mms messaging costs. Grrr
