Boro have been awful, so would be unfair to judge him on this game. My only worry based on this game is he doesn’t have much pace.

My Boro supporting mate reckons he’s nowhere near the level of Ramsey or Archer. He reckons he’s only playing at the moment because of the number of injuries they have.

He played well today, made an impact and nearly scored, was unlucky as it wasn’t really a chance.

As soon as I saw who the ref was I knew he would be bad, one of the worst referee performances I’ve ever seen. We have a lot of poor officials in the PL but Coote is another level of bad. On the game itself it was scrappy, thought we deserved the 3 points over the 90 minutes but lacked that cutting edge today.

It’s difficult to judge him at Plymouth, I’ve seen a few of their games this season and they are all over the place at the back. They score plenty of goals due to them being a more attack minded team but constantly leave themselves exposed at the back. He definitely has potential but not sure he’s ready to be a back up player in the PL yet.

7 yellow cards, this is his greatest achievement so far given the amount of minutes he’s played. Seen nothing to suggest he is a starter, we need to improve the starting 11. He’s had a fair few opportunities against some poor opposition and has never stood out in any game. Nice shot yesterday but his first involvement was to run the ball out of play for a goal kick and then got booked. Do our fans really want us to spend £30m + on this guy?

We weren’t great but deserved the win, we’ve lost loads of these type of games over the years. -
Guessing we will have to wait and see. He won’t be judged on literally having no service at Sheff Utd.

He played upfront on his own at Middlesboro with Akpom playing behind him. Don’t judge him on what he’s doing at Sheff Utd. They are a mid table championship team playing in the Premier League. Haaland would struggle to get into double figures in that team.

There will be plenty of teams willing to pay £15m for him, he’s a goalscorer.

There is no £18m if they don’t stay up. They will have effectively paid £2 million for him for a season. We will easily get £15m for him if he does come back.

Southampton would make sense, helps them get second and hopefully give us £10m for his services once back in the PL.

Yeah, they are happy to hit on the break and basically play for corners and set pieces in and around the box.

When you watch West Ham it’s easy to see why they haven’t really missed Rice. They just sit in with 10 men behind the ball for the majority of the game. Horrible team to watch

How did VAR check that offside that quick, it looked tight. How can they take ages of ones that are clearly onside just by looking but cleared this up in about 30 seconds, makes no sense. Got a feeling they gave it because they’ve had a few go against them recently

Incredible achievement to win the EL and then getting them to a CL semi final. It’s the equivalent of doing it with a team like Burnley!
