  1. I think the team will start off after the international break looking something like this (front 6 only): Westwood Cleverley Delph N'Zogbia Weimann Agbonlahor Which will then morph into our strongest set up when everyone is up to speed: Sanchez Cleverley Delph Agbonlahor Weimann Benteke The possibilities compared to last season are such an improvement - to think that 'strongest' set up doesn't contain N'Zogbia, Grealish, Westwood and to a lesser extent Cole, Kozak etc. We've done very well this transfer window, although an injury to Vlaar and we are potentially back to square one.
  2. He's a championship player at best but he's never done anything other than carry himself as a model professional to my knowledge - he also still has Twitter, god knows the abuse he's received on there.
  3. At the end of the day, Richardson and/or Westwood will miss out given Sanchez and Cleverley have been brought in (and are probably all-round better players for their respective positions) - but that's the beauty of having a squad and not the same players who play every week regardless of form and to a certain extent fitness. What a pleasure it will be to potentially see Westwood brought on to replace a tiring N'Zogbia, with Cleverley moving out wide, when we are looking to hold onto the ball late on in the game and run the clock down.
  4. Will be interested to see the length of this loan. It's a shame this has arrived as being the result of a last gasp choice once Everton didn't go for it, in addition to the fact it seems to be a temporary measure before he can sign permanently elsewhere on a free... But I guess welcome Tom - first time in a while I can't see us being in a massive danger with the current squad.
  5. Once Man United have realised we aren't going to pay his wages, they'll go for the next best option - get him off the wage bill plus a loan fee - which is what is about to happen when he signs on loan at Evernot in an hour or so. He will then surely sign a pre-contract in 6 months time. This has worked out very well for the blue side of the scouse land.
  6. Seemed to be another bird in the 'cloud' of Kate Upton's fella - someone's in trouble...
  7. F*ck him. At least there's money there to play with, can't blame us for trying.
  8. Will be keeping a close eye on this thread for further developments until I get home tonight.. Saying that, I do feel quite ill today so maybe I could ask to 'work from home'.
  9. Carrying a bit of timber is he? Always a fan of Darren for that GH season but his time is coming to an end - if he's not as mobile as Kozak then his contributions are going to be limited!
  10. Seems to be improving game by game - the fact he's a danger from set pieces only adds to his contribution. Very neat and tidy.
  11. Of vital importance Okore gets fit and pronto - I can't imagine Ron will play 38 games this season and the moment chuckle brother Baker is back in the side we suddenly look as resistant as a chocolate fire-guard.
  12. Whilst I'm never confident when he is in possession: 3 games, 2 goals, 1 assist - can't argue with that!
  13. I turned off after the Jelavic deflection as I didn't fancy putting my heart through another gruelling ten minutes courtesy of the Villa - but given the reviews I've seen of what was a small cameo display I wish I hadn't!
  14. If this happens it will depend on a) Evernot coming in with a late bid and b} his desire to come here provided we match his wages. I didn't think this was a go-er from the start and while there's no doubt he would improve the team I've seen more than enough from Richardson and the improving (again) Westwood to not be too disheartened should it fail to come off - I can think of other players who would also improve the team for £8m.
  15. Will take a couple of months to settle at the very least I think. Wasn't it until Sunderland away in Lambert's first season when Westwood actually started and had a decent game. Our current midfield three has contributed to us getting 7 out of the 9 points on offer, Carlos can take as long as he wants to get up to speed.
  16. Somewhat of an unsung hero I think, has impressed me every time I've seen him.
  17. Not intentional but could have been given.
  18. Did we blow any two goal leads last season? For some reason I associate MON's reign with blowing it big time, 4-4 against Spurs being the main one.
  19. Is it worth waiting for a FIFA bundle or is the deal mentioned above the best you are likely to get?
  20. For what it's worth I have a feeling he will turn us down, happy to eat some Hutton-style humble pie though
  21. I'd like it on the basis that we as a club are a joke, and he is a running joke, which would therefore make it all the more sweeter should we actually turn it around and shove it right back down their glory-hunting throats.
  22. Those players should be ashamed of themselves. Credit to Leyton Orient. We have some right useless tossers playing for us.
  23. Yeah I remember, that was brilliant. It was through a forum where someone managed to get into the satellite uplink or something like that. IIRC didnt Houllier make a 'magic sub' and Heskey had one of his 'better' games.
  24. Had a decent appraisal today - wonder how long this 'cheer' will last...
