  1. Brilliant game - the fact it changed the original gameplay which was a main component of the horror element and still managed to achieve the level it did is stunning.
  2. Improved significantly after we moved - would have been incredibly insular in comparison had we remained in Birmingham I think, although I could never say for sure. Only regret is we didn't move sooner.
  3. No because Ronaldo doesn't have a defensive game. In Ice Hockey, Agbonlahor would be called a great "two-way player." He does defence and attack well. He has 21 tackes in 17 games Saurez 17 in 17 Hazard 16 in 21 Rooney 14 in 16 Negredo 8 in 16 And if you think it's only because Villa don't play possession football, the only striker in the Premier League who has more tackles than Agbonlahor... Jay Rodriguez 27 in 19 that would be Xabby. I like this name, I will let the prior comment go as a result.
  4. Would the 5th one be The Abbey? I'm going to guess at the other 4: Enzo's Portofino Tanroagan MacFarlane's (Unless you're a Jaks/Rovers/Quids Inn kinda guy!) PS have you been to the Courthouse since they altered it? That Buddy Rocks is just about the worst restaurant I've ever been to. Yeah, Buddy Rocks is disgusting, I had a burger in there that primarily consisted of soggy onions. Filth. And you wonder why the owner sent round an email to 50 people who he considers to be the prominent members of the IOM 'social scene' in order to try and gather some ideas on how to revive the place. The four are: Enzos, Portofino, Tanroagan and JAR restaurant. The 5th is Swiss House. To be fair the Abbey was lovely when I went last year, and I will have to try MacFarlane's.. maybe there's more than I thought!!
  5. Rotate with four different ones over here - there's a fifth one i'd love to go to but it means not drinking or paying a shed load for a taxi return. I think there is a lack of top class restaurants for obvious reasons, but then again it wouldn't be a regular occurrence to spunk £150-£200 on a meal for two anyway.
  6. Still doing a double-take that we've got him for the rest of the season.. bit sad really, I guess!
  7. Strangely, I have a good feeling about his time here.
  8. Think he's in a bit of a lull following some very good early season form, hoping he'll find that edge again in this half of the season.
  9. Needs regular football, much in the same way Delph struggled through it for a year or two or so while he got used to his effectively new knee. Gardner, unless we have catastrophic injuries to the likes of Delph/Westwood/El Ahmadi at the same time, isn't going to get that here. So whether he has to leave on a free or via the loan system (which would indeed be my preference as the lad deserves a chance here when he's fully fit), he needs to do it sharpish for the sake of his career.
  10. I'd buried that game into the back of my mind. I remember when Carew scored that worldy the commentator said 'and that surely secures the win for Villa' and I thought it was cursed. Sure enough, it was.
  11. 3-0 to Birmingham - was just hell going into school the next day as a 12/13 year old, I can still remember the feeling of anger/dread/sheer hate. The 2-0 reverse wasn't much better either.
  12. What is and what should never be - Led Zeppelin
  13. While I only get these type of dreams once or twice a year, it makes going to sleep worth it.
  14. Would be nice to change the name I stopped thinking was cool, uh, 10 years ago now..
  15. Rather unsurprisingly the courts found AVFC at fault for that sorry affair. Villa fans rounding on others and one losing his job, not a worse sight have I seen on a forum that. Anyway, shame HH has gone but it couldn't last forever. Explain this historian business to me?see your messages mate

  17. You argued that Lambert might 'have to' sign one just because Kozak is injured.I said it was worrying if he has to, which was based on quotes from the man himself, who surprisingly has the final say in these matters. Given I am worried that he seems to be going in this direction is hardly an argument for the case is it. Fair enough. Apologies for misunderstanding. Time for a caffeine-boost...No worries

  19. Where have I said we need another striker? Try your best to read the posts.
  20. Blind-faith if I ever saw it...Every now and again I see posters in off topic that state they avoid the main section of the site due to posters who can start an argument in an empty house. Maybe if you have the gumption to re-read the posts you may understand that this has nothing to do with blind faith whatsoever, and maybe a lesson in the English language would help too - good luck.
  21. I don't think anyone needs to if he's the one making the decisions... Being the manager after all..
  22. He doesn't 'have to' though. He has five strikers at his disposal.Nursey has quoted Lambert as saying he needs to buy another striker.
  23. The most worrying thing is if Lambert has to spend the rest of his budget on another striker, just when we are looking to add a bit of quality at the back or in the middle of the park.
  24. Me either. I can't believe the turn around. I don't know if another manager could do better, I just can't stomach any more of this. Dare i say Redknapp? Think i've gone mad
