  1. The Indonesia earthquake in 2004 was larger, but it's really huge, no mistake. The death toll doesn't bare thinking about really, I can easily see it being in the tens of thousands.
  2. Between 200 and 300 bodies have been found on a beach near Sendai, the semi-official Jiji Press news agency is reporting. - From the BBC
  3. We're more of a 'gently bring to the boil, leave to simmer for 10 mins' kind of job.
  4. Just been speaking on Skype to a business contact from Korea who was in Tokyo for an exhibition. Apparently everything was falling off stands, exhibition hall now closed and can't use the elevator at the hotel (which she's the only person left in). And this is in Tokyo, it must be really incredibly bad closer to the epicentre. And I'm a bad human being because my first thought was "This is going to slow my bloody order down".
  5. Yes, but I think in fairness that result has to be viewed in context of the Man City game. And the point is that after resting players Houllier had to get a result against Bolton and didn't. The resting of players against Man City turned out to be pointless.
  6. Good plan, that's a way that would get the majority in their seats.
  7. Problem is, most fans are more concerned with downing as much beer as they can at this time. Easy resolution close the bar! Half an hour before the game, they'll probably lose shed loads of cash but if its to get VP rocking then i'm all for it. But if fans know this is happening, they simply buy 2 drinks at 2.25. They still won't be in their seats until close to 3. When I first started going to VP there was always a great atmosphere before KO. Now everyone is getting drunk until the game actually kicks off rather than being in their seats and the atmosphere suffers. I'm not for it, but it's the way it is IMO.
  8. Problem is, most fans are more concerned with downing as much beer as they can at this time.
  9. No there were other issues in there too, that was just one of them. Duverne (our current fitness coach) was also clearly an issue for Evra. The situation was as far as I could make out never as simple as the players vs the manager More along the lines of players / supporters / media / everyone and his dog vs the manager! I think Domenec was the route of all the problems of that France squad personally, and if Duverne towed his managers line then it's natural he to would come in for flack.
  10. Always remember, you can go up from your first offer but you can't go down, so start low.
  11. Which I would say is every bit as important as ability in a youngster. Hopefully a lone spell will do him good, build him up a player but at the same time show him he has to work in the first team and that he hasn't yet 'made it'.
  12. And only 2 games before the recall clause kicks in. And I be correct in thinking they'd already be an active recall for Wienmann?
  13. This is pretty much it for me. Sometimes less can be more, so keep your mouth shut as much as possible GH, and let GMac (or others) handle more of the press side.
  14. Could be worse, could have had Warnock Too right. He was last year. Can you get Salifou or Osbourne next year? At least when they leave / go off the rails or some new thing it won't effect the squad!
  15. A good sign for him personally that he wants to play, but can't see him having more than a squad role next season so I think that might well mean he'll be looking for a move.
  16. And makes it very good timing given that as well. I suspect it was deliberate that he wasn't loaned out sooner.
  17. Hope there is a recall option, but he needs to be playing and his chances will be restricted at Villa so this is a good move for me.
  18. Thanks! Feel so good about having finished it, as I had NO fitness at all when I started training! Me in action!
  19. He should stay. Signs of improvement are still being seen and this season was always going to be a transition. But he does need to improve and really didn't do himself any favours with the FA Cup mess. Needs to be more careful what he says to the press as well.
  20. Finished my first Half Marathon yesterday! Came in at 1h57, so under the 2 hour mark which is all I wanted. Feeling a bit sore today, but not to bad considering. Now thinking about the next event....
  21. Sorry to hear that General, hope all is well and you'll be at VP soon.
  22. A Novel Way to Improve Class Attendance No video unfortunately
  23. I had to share 2 bottles of this with 2 Koreans at a meeting in Germany (preceded and followed by a couple of beers). Horrible stuff, got totally smashed and felt awful all night and in the morning!
  24. Who would you play left back in that case? Delph? It seems that Warnock has no chance of playing there so unless we had Beye at RB and L. Young at LB we will probably have to go with Delph there and put Pires in CM. Still not horrendous. I forgot to even consider Warnock. Would be interesting to see if he could get near the squad if Collins wasn't available.
