  1. there isn't a lot of evidence to suggest that Lib Dems do see Tories as the enemy though , see my post on page 1 I have to admit, I find that surprising. If there was an election tomorrow, in all honesty I think my best choice of action would be to drop a match in the ballot box. I really feel the whole process is quite pointless at the moment, most votes don't count (under either system), and even if they did I can't see that anyone deserves my vote.
  2. Quite the contrary, I saw a great article in the Express of all papers (I know who would have thought pigs could fly) about AV being good because it gives parties such as UKIP (see, Daily Express!) a better chance of getting into power. As others have said, I believe it will start to kick off a few weeks before. I was going to vote for it, but I don't want to vote on the side of the Express?! What to do!
  3. out of interest and slightly OT , how many Principals did Liebour break in their 13 years in office , and how many did the Cons break in their previous stint before that tis a tad unfair to single out the libs for abandoning principles when on the face of it not one single party has any Maybe, but the Lib Dem's haven't just abandoned their principles or failed to deliver promises, they've actually helped the party who their core support see as "the enemy" do in many cases the complete opposite of what the Lib Dems supposedly stood for.
  4. Green talk a bit of sense but I don't really see enough from them that I agree with. Could possibly be worth a second choice vote but at the moment I don't think I'd be able to put down a first choice! I liked the Lib Dems, but as you rightly say they well and truly shat on their supporters, then rubbed it in for good measure, then shat again. Independent seems a waste of time to be honest. Pfff, **** it, let's just scratch everything and start over?
  5. No doubt, To Madeira is the greatest imaginary player of all time IMO. Best Champ Man ever for the record.
  6. No, but in that part of the pitch surely hard tackling is part of the job and when those are mistimed or poor then a red card is an occupational hazard, basically? I wouldn't want him scared of tackling in case he mistimes it and gets a suspension.
  7. I hear Juan Jose Vea Murguia is the best player in Imagination Land.
  8. He should have been aware, but do you really think it would have made a difference? I don't think you go in for tackle thinking "only a one match ban". On the other hand, do you really want to make your tackling midfielder's so risk averse that they don't do their job properly?
  9. I guess that most of the media are either on the side of Tories or Labour, and will be against AV. Therefore they're not giving much exposure, hence the lack of understanding and apathy. The most effective "No" campaign will be one that gives the whole issue as little exposure as possible.
  10. I can see this, but will still vote yes for AV. I think the problem is that if we don't vote for AV now, I can't see where something better (or any form of reform) will come from for the next god only knows how long. The Tories and Labour are both happy with the existing system and playing with boundaries to try to gain the upper hand and the Lib Dems have lost all credibility with their own supporters as far as I can see (I think the Lib Dems will be marginalised for some time and in effect we're going to have a two party sysyem for the foreseeable future). So for me it's AV for nothing, and AV is better than nothing.
  11. But it is broken! So many people live in safe seats and as such effectively have no vote, no voice and no reason to bother playing their part in the system.
  12. This, except that AV is not PR. The system is shite at current and although I don't think AV is perfect it's a step up. But I really do hate what the Lib Dems have become, gutted to have voted for them, but luckily due to broken system my vote was worthless anyway.

    Stag do ideas

I used to work for one of these companies (Escape Trips). They are good and it does make organising payments, finding hotels that will accept stags and things like that easier, but you do pay a premium. Also, any that are offering trips abroad will be going through another agency in the destination country and these are normally pretty dodgy. The UK company has very little control over what's going on.
  14. Another wholly unbalanced article (the only sort that exists) about the situation in Bahrain A friend of mine in Baharain posted this and seems to think it's pretty fair, but looking at the comments from her friends the community over there is clearly heavily divided over what's going on.
  15. Had this from Defence Contracts International this morning.
  16. I was looking at Loch Ness, or maybe Eden so getting in shouldn't be too much of a problem. Heard nice things about Loch Ness at least.
  17. I did that for the half marathon, and although she 'officially' supported me, she was still pissed off about the amount of time I spent out training. But I'd definitely sign up for charity again if I was going to do it anyway.
  18. Sir_Gary_Cahill confidently declares he's found the next best winger in the world bar none after a stroll in the local park
  19. And that's exactly it Mike. My girlfriend got pissed of with the amount of time I spent training for my half marathon, so the step up to full marathon training I'm afraid is too much, On the other hand, I don't want the regret of not trying. Decisions decisions!
  20. Too bad, would have been nice to head down but not going to travel to Hinckley.
  21. Mudrun looks awesome! I'm seriously tempted to try my hand at a full marathon. Main worry is how much time I'd have to spend training though, as it was a big demand on time just training for a half marathon.
  22. Who's this Rory Delap and what's so special about him then? He's Ethan Moors cousin, and can throw a football a really long way.
