I agree that we will spend on quality or atleast try to this time around and do 3-4 of those types of signings but i'm not convinced left back is a priority, infact if im looking at a starting 11 its probably 8-9th priority for me.

Suppose it depends how much we plan to spend, i can't see it being another 100m+ though personally so i think theres areas that are in far more need of upgrades than LB. Targett is a decent lower half left back and Taylors got 1 year left for backup.

Ahhhh, retiring his shirt makes sense now, it wasn't his contributions on the pitch but the fact that his fee has kept them afloat.

In terms of minutes Iheanacho barely played 10-11 games worth of minutes and still had 5 goals and 4 assists. Aslong as the fee wasnt too far north of 20m then i think its worth a punt personally, still only 23 and has already shown he can score in this league.

If i was a Chelsea fan id be pretty **** pissed off at the luck and the refereeing today, it seemed like after the goal nothing went their way. They were crap and probably didnt deserve to win but even still.

Doesn't fill me with that much confidence in all honesty considering his reputation of selling players as soon as they start to develop into a good player. Theres no guarantee that we have hired him with that in mind but still a fair worry imo.

Really hope Bournemouth fall into oblivion now if they are going to act this pathetically, blame everyone else but themselves for their demise. It was that point that kept us up but none of the points since right? You didn't have the chance to secure your own survival in the last 8 games right? Piss off.

Gabby still knows a lot of the players so it would surprise me if he knows a lot of stuff that goes on day to day. Exactly, hes gone to Balague and gave him his side and hes tweeted about it, nothing more.

Yea im not 100% sold on Purslow either and he may turn out to be terrible but Balague gets so much wrong, a quick google or twitter search will show you all the things hes gotten wrong, he knows nothing about the Spanish league and he certainly doesnt know anything about Villa.

Percy reported it weeks ago that he was probably leaving, we haven't just made this rash decision today. We've done the right thing and waited until the season was over so there was no distractions from the job we had to do. Good riddance i think, most of the signings have been utter cack and im glad the owners and CEO have not just accepted that. Its not been good enough and he has to go, no hard feelings its as simple as that for me.

We needed the number last year, this year we need 2-3 quality signings imo. I see 3-4 out and 3-4 in personally. Squad building takes time and we need to be a lot better in the market this time.

I haven't been impressed this season at all honestly, we've been largely poor and most of the signings have been distinctly average. We survived by the skin of our teeth and a nice dose of luck. Having said all that you cant argue with keeping us up, he 100% deserves credit for that and for me he will get and probably deserves another season but the jury is still out. I know some people wont like that considering everyone is on a high of positive emotions but thats my honest assessment looking at the season as a whole.

No because saying its a 2 year thing in response to me saying they could buy him after 1 makes it sounds like they can only buy him after 2 seasons which doesn't seem to be the case. The rest is true but not really relevant as we would have a choice and could demand a fee in that scenario. As it stands we cant do any of that. They might even buy him back to make sure nobody else does and then loan him back to us, who knows?

Same as every year then it looks like? We'll be one of the last to reveal the kits and fan mockups will be 10x better than the actual design.

I totally agree but i think if a few clubs come sniffing around they'll probably just pounce and grab him back before they miss out. Most articles when he signed didn't seem to think it was a 2 year thing, most of them just said the buyback fee just increases in the 2nd year.

I dont think theres any way City don't just buy him back tbh, its a rumoured 25m clause and by all accounts they didn't want to and probably wouldn't have sold him to us had he got a permit with them. For his development though i genuinely hope they leave it another year because the rate hes improving it would be horrible to see him just warm their bench for the year.

Well for us to win we'd have to have another +! on the GD which means Watford would have to beat Arsenal by 3 clear goals. Not totally impossible i suppose but fairly unlikely. If you can go away to Arsenal and win 3/4-0 on the last day to survive with no real manager then fairplay to you.
