I had an Israeli border control stamp in my old passport. Well rid of it tbh. Coincidentally when we flew over Jerusalem there was a thunderstorm, you could see the old city light up through gaps in the clouds. I'm surprised you don't have two passports Tone.
  3. Blown out the works do this year. Though have been persuaded to attend the Women's Tennis Association bash tonight. It's at some Brazilian bar in the West End. Hopefully someone will get their cuicas out, but won't be holding my breath. The girl I'm going with scrubs up well and is a great dancer. Got lots of jealous looks last year, it was fun.

    Christmas '14

The only time I've ever spiked anyone with anything was at an extended family Christmas bash. A sprinkle of Moroccan in the stuffing made for an interesting afternoon and evening. No one felt the need to scuttle off after dinner, everyone stayed at the table. Lots of laughing, no rows. It was two decades ago, but my sis and I look back on it wistfully as the best family Christmas ever.
  5. 'Music On A Long Thin Wire' is the voice of god.
  6. It's going to have to be good, this is going to be non stop for the next 12 months.
  7. The J.B.s - 'These Are The J.B.s' Something good did come out Black Friday. It's great and there's only 3000.
  8. This is Britfilm's page on Youtube. 'Clockwork Orange', 'Trainspotting' and 'Dead Man's Shoes'.
  9. Been a bit skint since forking out for a new boiler. Watched a couple of films. 'Dead Man's Shoes', really enjoyed it. It seems to be legitimately hosted on Youtube now. 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' - Marvel listened to fans and made the 'Farscape' movie. It's better than the usual Marvel pap for it.

Once again it's not energy companies making the breakthroughs. This time it's Andre Geim and the researchers at Manchester University. Clicky
  11. Old school. Dice, lead figures, books with tables of numbers.
  12. The original three are rip roaring adventure yarns, total eye candy and it seemed like a quantum leap for film 'Logans Run' came out the year before. It was a fairly big budget affair, £9 mill as opposed to'Star Wars' at 11 mill, but without expensive extended SFX space scenes. The two films look like they're from different decades. (LR is cool though). The 'Star Wars' prequels weren't a quantum leap, 'Gladiator' turned up looking similar and being better. The prequels do have a worthy underlying message, that's quite salient in the current climate. Be wary of losing your freedom under the pretense of dealing with an artificial enemy.

Very wise. Seemingly the alternative is getting stunned, then stabbed
  14. For value for money vs quality of product, some of the classical sets kick ass. Complete Tennstedt Mahler £20, complete Abbado Mahler £30 (was nearly a ton) - The benchmark recordings. Karajan complete Beethoven Symphonies £12, Klemperer complete Beethoven orchestral works £15 'Composers In Person' 22 cds of composers playing and conducting their own material £23, '20th Century Masterpieces' 16 cd Warners - £23, Concerto Koln 'Play Dall'Abaco, Locatelli, Vanhal, Kozeluch And Eberl' - £16 - Really good! Would be worth it for the Vanhal alone. Got around to delving into some of the boxes I'd picked up and just skimmed at the time, it's been good
