  1. They're such tramps even the Wembley pitch caught syphilis from them.
  2. To me he looked a bit shaky for the first 20 minutes or so. Once he settles in he was nothing short of imperious.
  3. For anyone looking at the league table tonight, I'd recommend this...
  4. Outside of VT, I wonder how many people are against the licence fee simply because they have a dodgy Firestick?
  5. That's the proper north west though. I mean the permadamp bit I live in.
  6. Hardly anything in the north west as usual. Kids disappointed again.
  7. Was at the game and genuinely thought it was a header until I read that
  8. I was in the Upper Witton Lane, near the Holte, so couldn't see the away section and had no idea there were no fans in there until after the game. My Mom text me to say there had been a load of trouble but we didn't see anything serious. The first we knew of the extent of it was putting on Talksport in the car. One Legia fan called in to say how badly they'd been treated, it was Villa and not UEFA who had cut their allocation, they came with 3-4k because they're always able to buy tickets on the day. It was a load of old bollocks. I'd heard from a contact quite high up within the club earlier today that they were expecting big numbers without tickets and that Legia's MO was typically "to test security and see if they can get in". Arseholes. Parked near Lichfield Road and walked up that way. There were a few groups of Poles congregating and one group on particular near the Trinity/Witton junction who were ignoring police instructions - even though the instructions were in Polish. I was with my 8 yo daughter so I was on red alert all night. Just got back home now.
  9. There was an amazing photo a few weeks ago of our entire backline in exactly the same body shape and ready for action. I can't remember if I saw it here or on Twitter, but if anyone knows the one I mean and can find it for me, they'll receive a Trophy Like on their post.
  10. Not just plundered from other countries either! In Canada, there are vast collections of art and historical artefacts nicked from the First Nations tribes over the years too.
  11. I feel like our team of sports scientists might have other methods.
  12. It'd be easy to draw up a comprehensive list - your example being just one. For me, though, it'd be his commitment to promoting fascists.
  13. I both agree and disagree here. Look at the top clubs in Europe - all of their defenders have been criticised for one flaw or another. John Stones (strength), Eder Militao (concentration), van Dijk (being run at).
  14. He's clearly livid. He's visibly shaking. Could do with a bunch of the top lads from the local comp meeting these posh clearings in the woods outside the gates and filling them in.
  15. Amazon warehouses and the place where they chop up chickens into bits so they can be sent to the breadcrumb factory.
  16. Imagine a country where the emphasis is on finding new ways for disability claimants to stop claiming whilst ignoring a >£100m fraud because it's too much hassle. We've got some nerve to talk about other countries being corrupt or abusing human rights whilst our own government shits all over its own doorstep.
  17. I believe Subside Sports sell it.
  18. You're absolutely right, of course, but one of the big factors to be often overlooked is that the examples given are almost always medications (like Ranitidine) rather than immunisations. To the best of my knowledge, only one vaccine has ever had long-term side effects (and I can't remember the name right now - sorry!) and that, again from memory, was over 100 years ago. When the Covid vaccines were rolled out the most common argument related to Thalidomide, but that was a treatment for morning sickness and not a vaccine. I guess that depends on what constitutes "fully effective". It certainly didn't completely prevent everyone from getting it, but it definitely reduced the symptoms and the spread. That's the thing with vaccines - it's hard to say exactly how effective they've been for an individual because you don't know if they've been exposed to the virus or how they would've managed without the jab. The best description I heard at the time was that the Covid vaccine is like a bulletproof vest - it doesn't stop you from getting shot, but it massively increases your chances of survival.
  19. Plus yer average punter in this country would think the threshold on inheritance tax is way lower than the reality.
