  1. Moreno is quicker and gets up to support and even beyond the attacker a lot sooner than Digne, which gives the defence more to think about. Zaniolo's passing can be quite cute and I think Moreno would benefit from that. The first touch and being dispossessed thing, I can't make an argument. It's strange though, because from what I've seen of him elsewhere he looks really polished.
  2. I'd be interested to see if he looks any different with Moreno behind him. A totally different kind of full back to Digne, really.
  3. That was the intention so I'm glad it came across!
  4. Didn't @bickster used to be their roadie?
  5. Narrator: "And here we find ourselves in one of VillaTalk's annual discussions about whether a new signing from a foreign league is either settling in or not good enough. Watch how they largely disregard their previous experience of good players taking a long time to find their form in a Villa shirt. Even specimens signed from English clubs such as Digne and Buendia. It's a remarkable sight as they trawl through hours of footage - not just of gameplay, but facial expressions and body language. Round and round they dance, searching for an answer that will only come with time. Indeed, it is time that shall determine whether the Zaniolo is indeed "good enough" or whether the Alpha Posters have earned that right to say they called it all along."
  6. Crap and yet simultaneously not crap. We offered them two stupid goals so they could play with 10 behind the ball and they gratefully accepted. Every time we got a player in a promising position there were at least two Forest players on him. The most touches in the opposition box we've had all season and yet Chaka Demus in their goal was never tested. I can't remember being so frustrated watching us in a long, long time.
  7. Certainly not attackers. Balotelli had a spell but really you're looking at Zola, Vialli, Ravanelli - and that was all ages ago.
  8. Sangare is the one making all the difference here. He's like a wall in front of their defence.
  9. We're playing like the smoke from Steve Cooper's pre-match bong was being piped into our dressing room.
  10. Nah, I'm mentally ill. That's why I take Fluoxetine. She's just a nasty word removed.
  11. I went to see the Whitecaps against a New York City team featuring Pirlo, Silva and Lampard. The Whitecaps were flagged offside from a throw-in. I seemed to be the only person in the stadium incensed by the decision - including the Whitecaps players.
  12. "How could we be the bullies when we were once the bullied?"
  13. This is the guy who, arriving at Bodymoor Heath on his first day, was given his new Macbook Pro but explained that he "wasn't into all that stuff". He was told he needed to use a laptop to use the club's systems for scouting, email etc. Before the week's end, he called the IT department out to Bodymoor because his screen "isn't working properly". IT manager arrives and there's only Tipp-Ex on the screen where he's been trying to amend his typos
  14. That place is near me. Might have a drive down just to chuckle at the sign.
  15. Did this guy get caught? It just disappeared off the news.
  16. Fair enough. They've stayed pretty close to the original
  17. Love it. But what are the rest of the lyrics?!
  18. Dunno if anyone watched this. It's not a real review and it's DEFINITELY worth looking at.
  19. You know that using VillaTalk is optional, right?
  20. FTFY If people who feel oppressed also feel like the democratic approach isn't working, they'll explore other alternatives. In other words, treat people like animals and the law of the jungle will prevail.
