We had a clean sheet and they had pretty much zero chances on goal - yet you give Zat Knight who made some great challenges and looked solid all game, a 5 - Luke Young who was also very good and made some great enterprising runs up the wing to support the strikers and worked his arse off all night, a 6 - and Shorey who had probably his best game in a Villa shirt, was solid at the back and was putting some good probing passes forward, a 6. Giving sixes for clean sheets and solid games from the fullbacks seems odd enough but giving Knight a 5 is actually pathetically biased and I am actually glad that I am unable to understand your logic.

Barry going would be a massive loss - his presence is such a calming factor for the team and he is of undoubted quality, so of course I'd be bothered.

Agree on some of the points but it has to be said that it wasn't really our fault yesterday - 4 goal line clearances, 2 times we hit the woodwork and some decent shouts for penalties means that I can't see how Wigan 'exposed our achilles' heel' whatsoever. Its a negative spin on yesterdays game and entirely unnecessary. Milner and Knight were better than 6s too.

Harewood wasn't poor by any stretch in the Zilina game - by his standards he had a decent match and linked up well with the other players and even managed to skin a few of theirs. He did mess up a couple of headers but they weren't clear cut chances whatsoever.

Had a shitload of them when I did my dissertation, the day before it was handed in I had 2 cans of Red Bull, 500ml Invincible and 500ml Rockstar throughout the day, from 9am to 7amish, and my piss was neon coloured. Bad. BAD.

I'm all about the marinades. My advice - buy lots of different spices, herbs and whatnot - Cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic granules, ginger, basil, oregano, chilli powder, the **** lot. For example, tonight I cooked up a couple of rainbow trout fillets with rice. Marinade I made up was cayenne pepper, garlic granules, ginger, smoked paprika, mixed herbs, soy sauce and a touch of water so that you can mix it all up into a paste. Make the paste in a bowl so that you can chuck the fillets in there and cover them, leaving them for a while. Heat up a non-stick frying pan with a bit of olive oil, wait till its pretty damn hot and put the fillets in skin side down and keep them there for a 3-4 minutes then flip them over and cook for 2-3 minutes - to taste really, I cook them longer as I like the skin crispy. Pretty simple and quick but damn tasty!

I reckon the FA would take Rafa on and he would do a better job than McClaren. He isn't the type to be a boat-rocker - so the FA would like that, but he is smarter than McClaren. I reckon he would be alright, but nothing that special. IF we are to really carve a team together, we need a manager with the balls to drop big names and bollock top class players when needs be - but the FA will NEVER allow someone who might upset the primadonnas the chance to do so.
