  1. MON= Pwning the haters since forever :notworthy:
  2. People who have criticised MON :notworthy: Martin O'Neill :notworthy:
  3. Just what we needed. Very happy. So glad to see Milner doing his stuff again, he is a class act.
  4. You can bitch/criticise all you want, it's not going to change anything. We ground out a point against a team with a fantastic home record without playing well, those are the important facts. Rest assured, MON knows better than you or anyone else here - just leave him be and be happy we're 4th.
  5. Sorry. Yeah everything is perfect, every decision is right and it's impossible to do any better than we have been doing. Petrov is basically brilliant while Reo-Coker despite facts is actually just a non league player.
  6. Friedel by far. James was and is still far too inconsistent and nicknamed 'Calamity James' for reason. I think Guzan will be THE keeper in a year's time - he looks sharp as hell.
  7. So now Delaney is supposed to be the player that never was? Wow - I seem to remember him having close to zero fans on here back in the day and for good reason. Yes, he was good at the slide tackle but compared to Luke he was pretty poor in his all round game and thus nowhere near as good as him. His positional sense particularly was pretty shit, I seem to remember.
  8. It's a tough call. Milner is probably my favourite player for us at the moment and alongside the fantastic work ethic is attacking prowess, good technique and consistency. However, Young on his day is as MON said a 'genius' - he can skin people left, right and centre, can play a killer ball in, has great pace and can be genuinely unplayable at times. I went for Young but Milner isn't that far behind whatsoever. We should be thankful that we have both and Downing, Albrighton and The Cannon also!
  9. I think the goals and assists total of a striker is the most important aspect when you look at a striker's contribution and try and quantify it as one in three or whatever and Heskey just doesn't fit the bill. He did move around a bit last night which was a rare treat but I don't like the fact that he has this annoying undeserved swagger about him. What we desperately need is a forward that can drop into the middle a bit and link up the midfield to attack a la Tuncay.
  10. Thats the one I've got TALIMANDO QUENDO CINQO QUE DE LA ASHELY YONG! Haha, it can take up to 5 seconds to say 'Ferrrrrrrrrrnannnnnnndooooo". Awesome He's just permanently happy! His ethos is that football is the true winner here tonight.. gooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooalllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

  12. I agree with these ratings - wasn't impressed with Sidders again but the players you highlighted as being good were the ones I noticed as well.
  13. Good write up BOF - the only thing you missed I feel was Guzan, who looked very impressive; confident, commanded his area well (NIGE! NIGE! THERE! AWAYYYY!! UPP! ) and made some great saves. Albrighton looked awesome, I must say.
  14. So far, 14 people who are being entirely unrealistic (3) 13 people who are being boring but sensible (5) And 13 people who are being optimistic but generally realistic at the same time (8)
  15. What is the point in arguing with people who revel in the negative side of things? I just can't be arsed with it anymore.
  16. Player of the season next year, I reckon. He is getting really good.
  17. Great write-up, cheers OBE. Good stuff to see the kids kicking arse again!

    We win!

We had a clean sheet and they had pretty much zero chances on goal - yet you give Zat Knight who made some great challenges and looked solid all game, a 5 - Luke Young who was also very good and made some great enterprising runs up the wing to support the strikers and worked his arse off all night, a 6 - and Shorey who had probably his best game in a Villa shirt, was solid at the back and was putting some good probing passes forward, a 6. Giving sixes for clean sheets and solid games from the fullbacks seems odd enough but giving Knight a 5 is actually pathetically biased and I am actually glad that I am unable to understand your logic.
  19. Barry going would be a massive loss - his presence is such a calming factor for the team and he is of undoubted quality, so of course I'd be bothered.
  20. Agree on some of the points but it has to be said that it wasn't really our fault yesterday - 4 goal line clearances, 2 times we hit the woodwork and some decent shouts for penalties means that I can't see how Wigan 'exposed our achilles' heel' whatsoever. Its a negative spin on yesterdays game and entirely unnecessary. Milner and Knight were better than 6s too.

    Intelligence

Harewood wasn't poor by any stretch in the Zilina game - by his standards he had a decent match and linked up well with the other players and even managed to skin a few of theirs. He did mess up a couple of headers but they weren't clear cut chances whatsoever.
  22. Radiohead were the band I came in to vote for/say - but U2 really are pretty lame. RHCP I agree with too Zippy. Out of those lot, I think I will plump for Coldplay.
  23. I'd be suprised if MON doesn't if he thinks that the rules have been broken.
  24. I voted for the Yak - I'm happy with my-several-years-ago-self!
