  1. I hope that was her drink you were holding :winkold:
  2. dont be silly denis - there are much more direct reasons for the team playing shite than him.
  3. lack of steel IMO - the players are a leaderless bunch of **** pussies.
  4. I do love the look the Guisseppe Meazza/San Siro from the outside, looks like a real fortress of a ground - which it is in the football world!
  5. Highbury aka the library is expensive and as the nickname suggests is quiet as hell, definitely not anywhere near the top of my list for stadiums in the country.
  6. family guy every time, loved the show for many years. the_rev - quality link, cheers for that. Has anybody seen any of series 4? Ive got a couple downloaded, classic stuff.
  7. Pedersen tracked by quintet Spurs may make a cheeky bid for Blackburn star Morten Gamst Pedersen before Wednesday - but would face competition from four rivals if they do. Norwegian playmaker Pedersen has caught the eye at Ewood Park so far this season, and scored a stunning volleyed goal in Rovers' 2-1 home win over Fulham. He took his time to settle in to the Premiership - but is now attracting envious glances from White Hart Lane, as well as Everton, Aston Villa, Manchester City and the Cottagers. Martin Jol could well launch a bid before the transfer window shuts on 31 August - and if he does it will no doubt spark a domino effect from the other clubs interested in Pedersen's signature.
  8. Midlands duo fight for Mart West Brom and Aston Villa are targeting a pre-transfer deadline swoop for Stuttgart defender Martin Stranzl, according to the player's agent. Albion manager Bryan Robson is keen to strengthen a defence that has started to leak goals in an alarming manner, with seven conceded in the last two games. Australia international Stranzl is valued at around £2.5m, and his representative Thomas Bohm is claiming the Baggies and Villa are interested in his client.
  9. Jefferson Farfan or maybe Sparta's (The Dutch ones) number 10... cant remember his name, but both play as attacking/creative and are bloody good from what ive seen.
  10. Id have Berger on the wing, with JLo left back - with Barry in the centre of midfield with Davis. Controversial? Maybe...
  11. how'd u guess? Nah it was off the bbc message board for villa, some "insider info". Like balls would be pay even half of what he is on for him, plus he is most probably injured beyond repair. Shame really because he's a good player, very solid at the back and always a threat from corners. I think Huth would be a great buy though, we have been screaming out for physical presence - we need a big hard bastard in our team.
  12. just read in the shakiest of places, that sol campbell for 5million - but its more than likely a load of shit, in fact, I dont know why Im even typing this...
  13. This is true - but since money has changed in football, he'd be what, half that now in value? And then it doesnt seem so bad IMO. I think Phillips this season will be good in the goal to cash ratio. Angel works out as £256,756 a goal.
  14. Well when was the last player we had that scored that many in that amount of games?
  15. Its pretty good for us though I guess.
  16. if its an exceptional save yeah, but some pens are just struck so well no keeper could stop it in its tracks.
  17. exactly, there really is no excuse for not scoring a penalty at that level.
  18. gaz baz, he knows what he is doing.
  19. dont need to worry about goalies right now do we? I think if we would trim it to 4 signings or however many DOL said that he wanted, I think 2 defenders, one central, one LB, a creative midfielder, and a target-man striker. We dont really have any sizable players who are attacking, and I think we need somebody with a bit of strength and aerial-prowess. Same kind of player as John Hartson.
  20. We dont know IF the kitty is all going on Baros, do we? I dont know either way, all I know is that Baros is overpriced for what he is. I think that a striker and creative midfielder for that much, if that much is available, would probably produce adequate players if we were getting good deals. We need good players though. We need to stop missing out on talent from lower leagues for a start - look at Bent for Charlton for example.
  21. agree with straggler - a win is a win, once we get results we can worry about looking good later.
  22. davis. his gran is probably better than hendrie.
  23. One. I am expecting to be dissappointed. Ive become increasingly dissillusioned this last season or so, the whole Vassell thing of late has really disgruntled me especially. If im proven wrong and we sign somebody who is going to change the club, then fair play, but if its one, and its of the ilk of who we have signed of late - say, if we signed Baros for example - then I wouldnt be over the moon, but not pissed off either.
