    I think their defence will keep them up but they will be in the bottom half of the table.

    I remember Leeds of the 80s.Bremner,Clark,Charlton ,G.Sprake etc etc etc.They were second to Liverpool in the days when Liverpool won everything.A great club and after 16 years in the Championship and still getting around 30,000 at home,they deserve to be a PL team but,unfortunately staying in the Pl must be earned.The PL will be a better/stronger league with them in it,I hope they stay up.

    It would have been nice to score more than one goal against a team that is down to 10 men BUT the thing to remember is. If a team performs well and wins,then that is what you expect. If a team performs not so well but still wins then you cant ask for better than that.Can you ?!

    We DO really need to start this season with a bang,otherwise the lads could get depressed and our season could get into a right spiral.

    @nick76: I agree that our top priority should be 40 points BUT only so far as to avoid relegation.We should really be aiming for mid table,bearing in mind the players have had a season in the PL and taking into account our new signings so far.Having said that,if we dont sign a second striker we are asking for trouble.

    Davis does not score goals BUT he does run interference for our striker.

    I dont know about this guy.I mean scoring a goal every 2 games ( or even every game ) does not mean much to me when you consider his goals are against teams like Partick thistle and Kilmarnock etc etc etc.With all due respect to those teams.

    I get the impression that he does not really want to come to us,but he is keeping his options open so that if no one else comes in for him then he will come to us. I dont fancy a player with that attitude myself.

    The bottom line is that we MUST improve on last season.As we are now buying quality instead of quantity.I would expect a finishing position of 3 places higher than last season ( minimum ) and anything up to 8 positions higher than last season as a decent goal to aim for.

    Five of my team play tonight.Grealish,Luiz,Mings and From Sheffield U.Basham and Lindstrom. At least one of the Sheffield lads will be gone from my team come tuesday.

    Well,I got rid of Giroud and bought Patrick Bamford.Just have to replace 2 midfielders and 1 defender and I am set.Learning all the time.

    The second season is ALWAYS harder than the first because now our/your players are known and you dont take anyone by suprise as every team has already played you twice.

    Anyone with half a brain who wants to play in England and play in the Champions league should be able to work out that if he is good enough he WILL stand out and if he is that good every PL club would be interested in signing him.Then he would have his pick of clubs to join.But PLAY in England first and use that as your chance to move on/up.

    I have 3 Villa players in my squad and somehow it does not seem right to have that many from the same team.Any advice would be much appreciated.

    I scored 68 points and as it was my very first game AND taking into consideration I only had 8 players on the park I am very happy with that.The reason I only had 8 players is ( a beginners mistake ) I had de Gea ,Walker and Giroud in my team,none of them played.I have learnt from that.

    This is true but sureley you can see that he could/would be a major distraction for defenders,at least till they worked out that he cant score goals.

    I cant see it happening.He has said,he wants to play Champions league football,that leaves us out.Unless I read it wrong and he means Championship football ?!

    He might be good with Watkins,taking some of the heat off him and distracting defenders to give Watkins a better chance to score.

    Hopefully he will be better in his second season.

    I think Watkins is a great signing BUT I do think we need another striker to share the load.Its unfair to expect Watkins to lead all by himself in his first season in the PL.

    I agree with Villafaninlondon.I think our biggest problem is that DS is too inexperianced for the PL.IMHO the reason we stayed up last season was because the players did not want to get relegated and get a drop in wages etc etc.I think the players kept us up,not DS.I still remember his strange tactics,substitutions and especially not getting the best out of the players.
