So,I got rid of Giroud and bought Bamford from Leeds.The way I see it is that Bamford will play every game so is obviously a better bet than Giroud.As well as that I now have a balance if 1.5 mil.If I wasent a new player and did not know what I was doing I would have bought a better forward still for the whole 7m.Still, live and learn. One week in and I am enjoying this game.

There must be something in those threat and creativity etc stats although I cant find anything usefull on the net.I think it must be like Football manager where they are trying to make it a bit harder or less easy to pick/buy players.Have to wait and see as the season goes on. From what I have seen and know.Anyone on VT could score a hatfull of goals in the SPL.Apart from Rangers every other team in the SPL is Championship or lower IMHO.

I have read the rules and a few other bits and pieces around the web but I still have 3 questions that I cant find the answer to.Hopefully someone on here can give me the answers before 11am in case I have to do something with my team. 1 - I have Villa players in my squad.As we dont play till game week 2,Do I have to substitute these players for game week 1 or will that happen automatically ? 2 - I cant make sence of the ICT score.Jack,who is our best player only has a average total of 6 3 - I dont understand how the scores for threat/influence etc work.Jack who is our captain only has 9 for influence while Clive Walker has 55 and Mendy has 93.Also for threat,Vardy only has a 6 while Nobel ( WHU ) has 105.I MUST be missing something here but I cant figure out what it is.

I must have misread you because you have hit the nail right on the head there. When I was a teenager I spent 1 year in a boys home and I can tell you that there is no way I was ever going to go through an experiance like that again.Like you say,some people never learn.

Thanks BOF and etc.I get what you mean by tactics now.I spent most of my $$$ on 2 strikers and 2 goalkeepers.Bought the rest of the team with what I had left.As I said I have never played fantasy football b4. So, tell me.This 1 free transfer a week.Does that mean that I can ditch a player worth $1.000.000. and buy 1 worth 5,000,000 each week ? Surely it cant mean that ?

IMHO it should be like this.Not everyone goes to prison but for those that do it should be a bad enough experiance that they dont want to go back and do that again.

True,the window has got weeks to go BUT the season starts sooner than the window closes and if we are the same team as last season when the season starts then we are in trouble.We are finding it hard enough to sign players now.If we continue to waste time and lose/draw our first 3/4 games then we could easily be in the bottom 3.Then it will be impossible to sign anyone at all.

You are right.We should be better than last season even if we dont sign anyone at all BUT our striker situation remains largely the same ( maybe Samatta will go from scoring 1 goal to scoring 2 effectivly doubling his input from last season ) hopefully Davis can score his first goal for the club.But realistically,even taking the above into account "how much" better off are we going to be if our new striker signing does not hit the ground running ?!

Fact.Its late in the window and even if we sign players like Messi and Vardy,if they dont hit the ground running then we are in trouble...again.The way I see it is that it dosent matter who we sign.If it takes the new striker 5/7 games to get going, we could be in the bottom 3 by then which means that virtually every team we play is above us on the ladder.

From what I have seen on various TV documentries,prison looks quite good.

Instead of longer sentances or more life terms.Why not just make imprisonment more of a punishment and less of a holiday camp. Quite simply.Make prisons a place you DONT want to go back to, rather than a place to spend your holidays.

A good and fair system ( might ) be having a lottery and the number of tckets you get ( the number of chances ) is 1 ticket for every year that you held a ST.So a 10 year St holder gets 10 chances every draw and a 5 year St gets 5 chances every draw.Just a thought.

Are we actually going to sign someone,or are we going to do what we did last season and end up with people like Drinkwater ? I cant understand why we didnt offer Scott Hogan as a part swap for Watkins and Benerama.
