Actually he does. I must be easier managing a top team with loads of $$$ than managing a team like Stoke or Carlisle.In other words do you think Pep is good enough to take Huddersfield up to the Premier League or Sheffield United up to the Premier League ? I dont. Look at really great managers.Fergie won the Scottish title with Aberdend.J.Mercer and Bill Shankley both managed lower division teams before managing Liverpool.Look at Z.Zidan.His very first management job is Real Madrid.He is starting at the top,just like Pep.He wont manage teams like Sheffield,Wolves or Bournemouth but the TOP teams that he manages will do well because there are not too many managers that would manage a top team and get them relegated.

I think 14th to 16th.The reason is that although we have 4 wins from 4 games,look at the standard of the oppostion.Two lower division teams and 2 Pl teams that have a total of 1 PL season between them in the last 2 seasons.I am probably the only one that thinks this but the way I see it is.Last season we had a lot of displays like the Stoke one where ( the First team ) didnt show any commitment or any intrest in winning,or even trying.The only thing that has changed is we have a few better players which should result in a higher position.IMHO DS does not have the motovation skills or the tactical nous to do well in this division.I hope I am wrong because Villa are my team and I want them to do well but I feel the players are doing it on their owne.Time will tell.

I agree.The correct decision was made.They just took too long to make it. What about when we played WBA in the Championship and Rod admitted that he scored with a hand ball,we still drew the game instead of winning it.If they are going to make decisions after a game is finished then they need to be consistant.

In that case, the game should be stopped ( like they do for drink breaks ) NOT make a decision after the game is all over.

After VAR and the new handball rule.........refs still favour the bigger teams.Manure are still getting Fergie time FFS

I would accept a loss, as long as we are not pummeled into the ground. On the other hand,Leeds put 3 past them and only lost by one goal so,c,mon Villa lets give it to them.

Its early days yet but if they dont get at least one CB in before this window closes then I think they are gone. Never fancied them much anyway.

The best rule change IMHO would be if they scrapped VAR and the new free kick rule and went back to the old way of refereeing.The refs did make mistakes but it evened itself out over a season. The only new technology I like is the goal line camera.

I have moved up to 13th,thanks to Mings and Jack scoring.Bamford scoring helped as well. Have tossed Basham out and bought Castagne.That transfer should strengthen my team quite a bit.

Like I said.I would rather have them in the PL than out and they get decent support as well.
