I would bloody well take that. I think he is a great player and I want him to stay but I am not gonna be gutted if he goes for a fair price. I do think that some of the talk about Grealish is a wee bit insulting to the rest of our team. Sure he is a good player but he is not THAT much better than everyone else. Some of the talk in the media gives the impression we are a one man team, which is absurdly unfair on everyone else, I daresay Jack would agree if he posted here. Stay or go I wish him well.

Nope other clubs have been doing it for years (Chelsea started it I think) which is why we managed to finally get Villa to do it. As far as I am aware there are no new rules put in place this season from last?

Sadly they have thrown the idea away. Many folks around the world are unable to watch live because of time zone issues. So full match replays were a fantastic way to support the club and watch Villa. Now the club have decided on cost cutting AVTV just when other clubs are growing their services. Instead world wide villa fans will go and watch the replays from torrents etc. A real shame.

So they removed the only useful feature to me of full match replays? Oh well. Saved me some money. Shame I would have liked to support the club. Very disappointing.

One positive about Bruce is he is as straightforward with the fans as he can be without giving away information that might help opponents. I do like that. he told us he wanted to build the team around Grealish last pre season and was true to his word when Grealish got back from injury. He has told us this season he wants to play 3-5 but we are not ready yet, I have no reason to doubt him on it. Some of us may not agree with his tactical or play style decisions but I genuinely think he has always been straight with us.

Also that was a damn fine goal any player would be proud of.

Jack loves us, we love him. If he was leaving he would have made more of it. My guess is he was just disappointed at being subbed and didnt think he played his best.

What is it with this man? How does he get faster and better the older he gets? I thought it was meant to work the other way around?

I am still fine with Bruce but I must say as someone who has wanted Bielsa at Villa for years I am just jealous af of Leeds. They have got what I knew we would get under him, great football. Such shame we have never had the courage as a club the past few years to look at getting a truly great manager like Bielsa. Instead the names are invariably some British/Irish plodders. Now I love my people , I really do, but we do not produce great managers these days. I do hope when the time comes our new owners think differently.

I will take it. Nice to see terry actually did enjoy playing for us. I sure enjoyed having him. Classy of him to carry on being nice about us now he has left.

Thats tough news on Kozak. A reminder being a footballer is a risky job. An injury takes a moment but can destroy your career.

When it comes to Grealish I think we should also recognise our views about him being world class are not that widely shared. I daresay he has less hype among other clubs than Will Hughes or James Maddison had. Two prominent examples of the "Young, English, who has technical skills but is in the Championship so maybe cheap" style players that Jack falls into. I recall bigging up Westwood as a future England captain not so long ago so its worth us taking a quick reality check. I mean if we can get tens of millions for him then fine, but I think he is worth way more to us than other clubs, just because he fits us, is one of us and frankly forces us to play in a better way.

Love it if he stays. I could use a quick "hey it looks like i am staying" post from him though instead of this cryptic davinchi code stuff.

Ten days till the window closes and it cant close soon enough for me. I just want to see it end with us keeping our good players now we are told we dont have to sell them. A few loaners is all we are getting and the deadline is a bit longer for that also Bruce and the club seem to have a decent eye for loans so thats fine.

I can understand not wanting Bruce, but I think we dodged a bullet in the Henry thing. I mean the guy is far less qualified than even OGS. Hiring Thierry Henry wouldn't have just been brave, it would have been positively courageous, in the Yes Prime minister sense of the word. I should add I think Bruce will be gone before the new year anyways. I have no evidence or heard anything, just looking at the numbers. Usually when a club gets new owners they change manager fairly quickly. No reason to think our new owners are going to be any different. They are just in the middle of cleaning up the financial fire at the club. Let them get their feet under the table for a bit and I am sure they will start to look at who they want as manager.

The FFP fine system is just a scam. It was and is a terrible crooked idea, one of the very few things I applaud Lerner for is we voted against it and rightfully so. I hope our new owners treat FFP with the contempt it deserves and just get around it with whatever fig leaf excuses we need to invent just like PSG or Man City or even Wolves do.
