  1. Well if you accept my view that FFP is a rigged and unfair system then I hope the new owners are working hard to get around it by any means. Its what everyone else who wants to run a successful football club does so I hope we do too. Sponsorship's , hiding expenses through agents its all fair game in my opinion.
  2. I have run out of "likes" today so I just wanna say, i think you have it right.
  3. Gabby. I wouldnt be shocked to see him rock up at a league 1 side this season. He maybe a terrible footballer these days but he is a footballer and wants to play. I think Richards gave up on that ambition a while back.
  4. Agreed. He was arguably our best player and was the only one capable of keeping possession. But if Grealish had come off West Ham's bench and played like that we wouldn't be talking about him at all. I thought Mark Noble caught the eye more often and I think Mark Noble is a crap player.
  5. I am not going to defend Steve Bruce after todays pre season performance. Sure our players are not good enough for the premier league but the gulf between the managers ability was plain to see. Pellegrini has had a month or so with these players making them play a new system, Bruce has had years with these players and we still looked like deer in the headlights. Worrying. On the plus side our new owners were there to see the same thing and I am sure that didn't go unnoticed.
  6. Yup. It would be pretty miserable getting smashed week in week out by the likes of West bloody Ham. It is a reminder of just how bad we are. The gulf between us and a crappy Premier league team like West ham is shocking. I also have to say the gap between the managers is also plain to see.
  7. Snodgrass, lol Ah well I dont mind the lad getting himself a goal. Still we are shockingly poor.
  8. Gary Gardner, oh dear I had forgotten he is still our player.
  9. Not surprising we are the bigger club by some distance.
  10. Dear J.Kodjia. it is legal to run in football. Just wanted to let you know that.
  11. From an enjoyment perspective is probably for the best we didn't get promoted. We are making West Ham look like Barcelona and West Ham are mediocre at best. If we were in the premier league this season sure we would be financially far better off but bloody hell, we would be thrashed week in week out.
  12. Grealish is our only player who actually tries top keep possession.
  13. Wait there is a limit to how many times I can like fellow fans posts ? Seems an odd thing to cap.
  14. Not sure there will be anything new in it tbh. The club just announced he is staying and the owners just gave a video interview saying they are in for a long term rebuild but have not indicated this will translate into transfers this window. I am just happy our club isnt going out of business this summer.
  15. Probably not the best of signs when the highlight of the half was Snodgrass getting applauded for warming up by the Villa fans.
  16. Pretty much this. And like Southgate's England but even more so its just toothless from open play.
  17. Could be, its pretty confusing to be fair. Its like half the team is playing 3-5-2 and half the team is playing 4-4-2 and its split left to right not top to bottom. I am very confused.
  18. Yeah, not sure I would say anybody in the back three is playing well or looks comfortable. And our "wing backs" seem bizarrely static for a position that is meant to be the most dynamic in this formation.
  19. Oh dear. Only pre season but still there is a gulf between these two teams.
  20. We have got a LONG way to go learning this formation. Not saying its wrong mind but hooya, we are not used to it.
  21. I am mildly pro Bruce but I do hope he learnt his lesson with that "hysteria" crap. As his mate Mick McCarthy learnt nobody gets a pass on insulting the fans. Football managers get paid a lot of money to act professionally, football fans pay a lot of money and have every right to (reasonably) criticise the job a manager does.
  22. Happy enough with this. If we do end up changing managers it needs to be with someone who has been a manager before or has a clear ethos. Our club is no place for a rookie.
