  1. You cant mate, they decided to drop it this season, after years of fans asking for it, they did it for one season, last season, after Xia intervened and forced them to. Then they dropped it the moment the clubs leadership were distracted this summer. They need to sign up for ifollow. It works great. After years of nagging them I have just come to the conclusion whoever runs AVTV just doesnt give a toss. Might as well axe them and use iFollow.
  2. Bielisa is more like Guardiola (no coincidence). he pushes and pushes, if you stop improving you are dropped, end of story. Neither of them care if a player is tired, if they are its just as sign they are not fit or good enough for their teams. I wish Bruce was more demanding to be honest.
  3. I suppose this goes here, but for the first time in a couple of years I mistakenly paid some attention to the Premier League football this weekend. What a bunch of insufferable arses's most prem clubs and fans are. Dont get me wrong we need to be in the top flight in the country and I want us to go up, I think we will too, but I am going to enjoy this season while we are among (West Brom aside) generally likeable clubs and fans for another season.
  4. Yeah that was a beauty deserved someone on the end of it. One thing I like about him is he is similar yet different to Grealish in a good way. They both control the tempo, but one generally prefers to slow it down (Jack) and one generally prefers to speed it up (McGinn) I imagine that is a real pain to defend against.
  5. He wasnt good. With Kodj though we know he has it in him. So maybe he just needs a goal.
  6. I think thats right but I will say its under performed only by Grealish's own high standards. I can see him and McGinn becoming a genuinely fantastic partnership though.
  7. Terrible debut, hopefully he will get better. I dont care how new you are to the league, I dont expect you to punt that many goal kicks right out of play. Sorry. I hope the lad does better and he has my support, but it wasnt a good start.
  8. I was entertained today. End to end stuff. A genuinely enjoyable game of football. I give some credit to Bruce, I surely would give him some of the blame the other way around. It was helped by the fact Wigan came to play attacking football as well of course.
  9. Hes not bad is he? Looks like Hibs fans were right.
  10. I paid for Wigans iFollow instead. Worked flawlessly and I have a full match replay. This is how I am going to do it the whole season, just pay for other clubs ifollow match by match. AVTV offers me nothing now they have gutted the service. A real shame as I want to support my club but what can you do? I do hope the new owners take a look at this. I am not saying Aston Villa fans have any right to have a service as good as Wigan's and I want to be respectful to another club, but I have to say it feels a bit bloody small time we are behind a club that's just come from League 1 and I have to pay them to watch a game at Villa park. Their commentary was excellent as well.
  11. I watched the game and I am not sure myself mate!
  12. Credit to Wigan too. Fast and very high energy. But that was a very very enjoyable game.
  13. That was brilliant fun, a REALLY enjoyable game.
  14. Poor mistake at the back but it happens. Enjoyable game so far.
  15. I am now angry af that Villa dont just use ifollow. Full match replays, great coverage. I am pissed off.
  16. They are both still better looking than me.
  17. Good question. But who do you drop to make room? I say Grealish. I mean I love the man but I dont want him getting too comfortable and he had a bad game against Hull, send the lad a message. Just kidding I do wonder whose slot he will take though.
  18. Cant we just wish him well? He is our player for a few more years and we got one offer for a loan for him. It happened to be Blues. Wouldnt we all be slating him if he went on strike and refused to go? He is a professional footballer who unlike some other clearings in the woods we have still on the books, leeching money off us, actually is willing to go and play football at another club who will cover some of his wages for us. He might be good for them, keep them up this season and save us a quid or two, who knows he might even change the trajectory of his career. I am fine with that, seems like the best solution to a bad situation.
  19. I think they do have a plan. Bruce seems utterly unconcerned now, vs the existential terror he was talking about before we got bought. We know the club are talking to the crooks at the EFL who run FFP scam and even they seem perfectly happy with our go forward plans imho a combimation of 1.) Dr Xia didnt have or couldnt get money out of China. Our new owner has proven he has deep pockets and has shared a plan thats good enough for the EFL. 2.) Our slashed wages / costs (there were cost cuts at the club this summer outside of players, (Bruce mentioned AVTV got cuts) get us close enough to what FFP's ludicrious rules require . Has satisfied all parties. For now at least.
  20. By any bending or ignoring the joke that is FFP as needed. Same as every other big club. I m happy our new owners have realized this day 1. Good for them.
  21. I have to say a lot of the Spurs fans comments are classy af. Fairplay. I never thought I would say it but, good luck to them for the season. Now I think I need to go wash my mouth out. But I do mean it Spurs fans, respect.
  22. "Clock ticking for Grealish as end of career looms less than two decades away"
  23. He is young, he played well for us at times. I can see him coming good. I can also see him fizzling like you say mind. But it looks like Spurs is gonna find out this season, they dont have choice now do they?
