  1. Spurs had history at WHL. Arsenal at Highbury. Everton at Goodison. Utd at Old Trafford. There’s talk of Newcastle moving from St. James. Plenty of talk over the years of Chelsea moving. History is great. Our history is great. But, we can’t let that hold us back. If the club can move and it’s the right move, we should explore it. We can’t be left behind. I don’t think our owners will allow it.
  2. He’s going nowhere on the wages he’s on.
  3. Moving to a new Villa Park is the only option for me. Christ, if United want to knock down a 75k seater stadium, there must be ridiculous commercial value in doing so. We have to move with the times. Bring me the Villa bowl!
  4. Huge news. May miss the Spurs game, fine, but having him back for the run in after is going to be massive. He’s looked a lot better these past two matches.
  5. I'm so worried 'Cuti' is going to get him..
  6. I disagree. We only go backwards if we're poorly run and spend the money badly. £100m for Luiz would represent incredible value.
  7. But he doesn’t though tbh. Thats the odd thing. I don’t see him use his physical attributes enough if you ask me.
  8. You're right, tbf. Had this conversation with somebody earlier. Martinez, Watkins and to a *slightly* lesser extent, Torres, will be virtually impossible to replace - certainly for less than a staggering amount of £. Luiz is replaceable because the pool of quality central midfielders is greater than quality strikers. And, I mean, how do you replace the best keeper in the world? I know some won't like to hear it but players like Bailey, McGinn, Konsa, Kamara etc. Yes, they're all fantastic, but there are better players out there, or certainly players as good, you've just got to find them.
  9. Why? Every player has his price. Even Watkins/Martinez etc. If somebody were willing to give us £100m+ for Watkins, I'm sure we'd do the sums on it. The problem with Watkins is, the pool of players from which you can replace his qualities is a lot smaller than say, Luiz. There are more quality central midfielders out there than there are top strikers. So, whilst we may entertain ludicrous offers, the club will be well aware he is near impossible to replace - hence silly money would need to be offered.
  10. If we play like we did against them last year we’ll win comfortably. We were brilliant that day.
  11. for a big man. There. Finished it for you.
  12. Would love to make him permanent in the Summer and sell Carlos. However, I’m sure we won’t as Mings will be cover for Torres and if we ship Carlos out, we’ll need a right footed player to cover Konsa.
  13. Even a point isn’t a bad result for us but a United win would be a real blow.
  14. Going to be tough to shift Carlos I’d say. Maybe to the Middle East? Brazilian players seem to chase money but doubt we’d get much of a fee for him. Digne still has value because he’s a very good player.
  15. United are trash. They don’t deserve to be anywhere near us. In the coming weeks, I predict they’ll be fighting to stay 6th rather than thinking they’re still in a fight for 4th. In the unlikely event they are still in the CL race, they’ll have had a helluva lot of fortune. They’re just not that good.
  16. Feel as though he could turn in to a good striker one day. Has all the attributes.
  17. We’re not getting anywhere near City or Liverpool. We *may* catch Arsenal but even they are playing extremely well at the moment. It’s a race for 4th I’m afraid. I actually think we could win every game between now and the end of the season and potentially not win the league. Such is the form of the top 3 atm.
  18. Neto went off injured today as well. Hopefully it’s a nasty one.
