    I think Buendia, Bailey, Digne and Cash have been the weakest players in our side this year. Of the players that have played consistently I mean. I think you’ll see 3 players come into replace them. LB (Moreno). RM/LM (Ramsey will play on the other side). FW (player to play behind Watkins).

    I think this is exactly what the club wants to do. For now, the two remaining spots go to McGinn and probably Buendia. I’m sick and tired of Bailey. It’s a sad state of affairs that the three players we spent the Grealish money on probably won’t feature in our best XI in Feb.

    Moreno might be good and I hope he really improves us but it only confirms what I’ve said numerous times. The club just bounces around from player to player based on the manager. There’s no way Moreno would be coming here if not for Emery. Now, at least Emery is a good manager so I trust him more than most, but it’s a very slapdash approach and just means when Emery goes (which is a statistical probability), we’ll then need to overhaul the squad and sign whoever the next manager wants. I don’t see much from our scouting department unless it concerns youth players. Like I say, Moreno could be very good, but the way we’re run does concern me.

    He's just a slightly quicker version than Traore. Both aren't good enough but I'll tell you something right now, Traore never put in as consistently poor performances as Bailey has this season. There really isn't much between the players. We need 3 new wide players over the next two windows. I'd get rid of Buendia, Coutinho and Bailey if at all possible.

    This. I don't think we can afford to have a player on 160k a week sat on our bench. If a suitable offer comes in for Ings, Digne or Coutinho, we should be seriously looking at it.

    I said to a colleague this morning, it's a damning indictment of our current fullbacks that, if we had two Ashley Youngs, both would start at RB and LB. I honestly didn't see full backs being an issue going into the season, but Cash and Digne have really underwhelmed so far. I don't think it's critical we upgrade, but it definitely needs looking at (as we are with Moreno). The biggest issue we have is with our wide players and attacking unit. Buendia, Bailey and Ings were supposed to come in and replace Grealish's output. Collectively, they're f*****g miles off.

    Pretty much where I’m at. Honestly, if we started next season without Coutinho, Buendia and Bailey, I wouldn’t be bothered one bit.

    I don’t, I think he’s been mostly poor wherever he’s played. Being bullied off the ball and giving it away time and time again isn’t going to change if he switches sides. He’s a bottom half PL player, at best. At absolute best. Both he and Bailey have been very poor signings given the money we paid for both.

    He was poor but he’s done alright since coming here. He’s a squad player, at best. I think we’ll be looking at another central midfielder in the Summer to compete with Kamara and Luiz.

    He said his priority is to get a winger. He’ll know the players we have in wide areas aren’t good enough. He’s probably looking at Cash, Digne, Bailey and Buendia and thinking he needs to upgrade on all of them.

    So so true. You know, we haven’t actually signed a player that plays in Grealish’s position since he left. I wonder when we’re going to replace him.

    Im aware it did sound contradictory. My point is that you run the risk. 9/10 we win that game because they’re levels below us, but every now and again you will come unstuck. Today we risked it and we got punished. If Martinez, Mings, Konsa and Digne start that game today, we win. Not because they’re all brilliant, but because they play together regularly.
