  1. For the right price and wages, it would be a decent deal.. I think. Maguire, Konsa, Mings and Carlos is a decent 4 to pick from for those 2 centre half positions. Really can’t see it. Also, his agent isn’t in that photo and betting odds are a complete nonsense. Very rare to see it go as low as 1/5 on these things though.
  2. Take this with a pinch on salt. It’s all we hear about Buendia, all those big changes created, and he’s rubbish.
  3. If he’s half as good as Son, sign him up.
  4. I wonder if we’re looking at Marcus Edwards… probably not, but impressed last season by all accounts.
  5. Don’t get me started.
  6. You can use stats to prove anything. Digne has been average this season and I think it’s testament to his average-ness that the first thing the new manager wants to do is to buy a new left back. He’s a very tidy footballer. Technically he’s also very good. He just doesn’t have the pace to be a top fullback. He can’t beat a man and he can’t really dribble with the ball either. He holds us back from an attacking sense and I think teams will start attacking us down that left hand side because they know he’s slow. We gave him a daft contract and we’ll pay the price for that. There’s no way we can afford to have players on £160k a week that aren’t first choice. One day maybe, but now now!
  7. Personally I think you’ll see Ramsey in front of Moreno with Digne dropping to the bench. Then McGinn in front of Young on the other side with the intention of buying a player to replace McGinn. Maybe Bailey might even start on the right.
  8. That might be the case, I just hope if we do recall him, he doesn’t just sit on the bench like Archer. Personally, I’d be happy to send him out on loan again next season and just let him continue his development playing 35+ games in a season. No need to rush players back from loans. Kessler, Ramsey and Archer can all stay out on loan too next season for me.
  9. I was thinking this myself. Look, I don’t rate Traore, never really have in all honesty, but can he be worse or less consistent (being kind) than Bailey and Buendia?
  10. Think he’d prefer to prance about in women’s clothes for the most part.
  11. Big time. This is the time to back him. He’s shown what he can do with a limited squad in terms of ability. Let him bring in 5/6 players over the next two windows and see what he can do.
  12. Bring him in, give him a few months training here and then get him tearing up the championship on loan.
  13. Yeh, happy with that. But what if the club wants to spend big on a striker. Do we keep both Watkins and Ings?
  14. Can you imagine if me, Percy, Messi and Lyric were in the same room together? The 2 of us would have a great time.
  15. He's not going anywhere given we gave him his retirement contract. He's on the kind of money that means his children's children wont ever have to work. This is what happens when you get it wrong in the transfer market. Ings, Digne and Coutinho have all been signings that have broken the mould over the last 4/5 years - High wages to players with no resale value and who get replaced relatively quickly due to age. At least with the likes of Buendia and Bailey, who haven't been great, they're on lower wages and have age on their side. Digne is a decent player. One I'd be more than happy to have in the squad, but FFP exists. Having players like Digne on £160k a week means we can't strengthen and improve elsewhere. Daft.
  16. Augustinson has looked decidedly average for the most part in his time here. One decent performance from the bench from a loan player doesn't mean we shouldn't be trying to improve the team! I feel like so many posters just go on the last game they've seen when assessing ability.
  17. I think that would be the plan if Digne wasn't on 160k a week. It's not like he's a young player happy to compete and learn. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Digne made available simply because Moreno might come in to start and we can use Young there (who is brilliant) with Cash moving over to right back. I'd be very surprised if anybody came in for Digne considering the amount of money he's on. What a moronic signing he was (not a bad player, just the numbers/age profile)
