  1. Outs - Kallinic £2m, Taylor free, Elmo free, Engels £7m, Conor £7m, Barkley end loan, Trez £8m, Davis £5m = Total £29m Ins - Young LB £10m, Young CH £10m, Centre Mid £30m, ACM £30m, RW £30m = Total £110m Into Squad - Kessler, Chuck, Barry, Bidace, Wesley Leaner squad with more opportunities for the younger players. More quality in starting 11 and consequently a better bench. New starting 11 - Emi, Targett, Mings, Konsa, Cash, Sanson, CM, ACM, Jack, RW, Ollie.
  2. This is a pretty good summary. I would play Marv instead of SJM but as you say, that is the most debatable position. I think that in the summer I would target three really quality players. One to slot in for Luiz, one for McGinn and one for Bert. That would mean that Conor and Trez/AEG could exit. We then need a left back to compete with Target and a centre back to compete with Konsa/Mings. That would provide a bit more resilience.
  3. I really like Bert but I’m starting to think that his best position is going to be first reserve. Having him coming on after 60 minutes will be useful. Hope he’s ok.
  4. That’s what I would go for too. I know a man that will be squeezing a SJM in there though unfortunately!
  5. He is just not good enough. I suspect he will still be around next season but hopefully he will be a bit further away from the first team.
  6. I absolutely don’t want Dean to be replaced. He still has many more positives than negatives but he still bloody annoys me with certain things! We have had a few really bad spells whilst he’s been in charge and he seemingly just keeps going without trying much to change our luck. It’s bloody annoying.
  7. How do you know they weren’t fit. In the squad so fit surely? If not then fair enough but why is he picking unfit players to sit on the bench? Sanson also looked fit when he came on.
  8. I think the reason I get annoyed is because Smith doesn’t seem to try and change anything to get us working again. We have been awful for weeks but he mostly picks the same players in the same system! When he does change it, I rarely see the point of his changes. It makes no sense. Only once since C-19 have I been happy with his starting midfield 3 and that was last week against Wolves. It actually worked really well so why effing change it tonight? It’s bonkers. McGinn.......no! Elmo.......no! Ramsey........not yet he is not ready! Play Trez if you want to play Barkley but if you are going for a solid midfield 3 then Trez....no! Finally Dean..........no!!!!!!!! Sort it out ffs
  9. He is so out of form but seemingly undroppable! I am honestly at the stage now where I would be happy to sell him in the summer and just move on.
  10. He’s not ready yet but he is only young. He needs to be on the bench for a bit until he feels more settled. Utterly baffling starting him ahead of Sanson tonight!
  11. 2 points from Sheff U, Wolves and Toon! Ouch.......Awful again tonight. Just awful.
  12. Unusual team selection from Dean. They are a team would should be going at. Feels a bit Sheff Utd to me. Hope I am wrong. UTV
  13. Does anybody know how Weston McKennie is getting on at Juve? He doesn’t seem to start that often. I think he would be a great signing for us. Him and Sanson either side of Dougie would work well in my view. Much better energy, quality and ball carrying capability in centre mid.
  14. Slightly off topic but I sent Emi a tweet on Saturday to congratulate him on another clean sheet and a fantastic performance. He actually tweeted me back to say thanks! Just when you thought you couldn’t love the man any more! He is the second most important player at the club in my view. We must do everything to keep him for as long as we can. He is a superstar.
  15. Totally agree with this. It should stay the same for a few games now hopefully. The game changed when Sanson picked up a bit of a knock. Up until then we bossed the centre of the park for the first time in weeks.
  16. I think he is a really good player who’s a bit out of form. He was good first half today but his standards have fallen. He is still so young. He can be a star in time.
  17. Problem is, he is 27, on massive wages and would command a large fee. Add to that the fact that he would have no sell on value, he is injury prone and his form has always been erratic. It’s a no from me.
  18. He is not for us. Move on
  19. Neto is such a good player. If we signed him, Bissouma and St Maximin we would be a top 6 team
  20. I suspect he won’t start for us again now and will be reserved for sub appearances. I really hope we have decided against signing him. Too much money and risk with very little return.
  21. Starting to think that, for now, we should only use him as an impact sub or against teams where we are gonna have 60% plus possession.
  22. He did really well today. Fair play
  23. I honestly thought Trez did well in the first half. He works so hard for the team. Thought he tired though maybe due to lack of time on the pitch.
  24. It was a joke mate. I was intimating that he was too good for us and thus would move on to a better team and be successful. It was subtle to be fair!
  25. Did really well. He carried, pressed and passed well. Really hopeful
