  1. I usually go to 3 or 4 PPV's in America every year and the majority of the time I do it through their travel packages. Especially for Wrestlemania due to all of the extra stuff that they throw in with the Mania packages. For example, you get great seats for Wrestlemania, tickets for the Hall Of Fame ceremony, tickets for Raw the night after Wrestlemania, as well as tickets for the events that they put on in the week building up to Wrestlemania such as Axxess which is awesome. When I was in Miami for WM28 we went go-karting with The Miz and Kofi Kingston, which was quite fun. The travel packages are definitely worth it. I can't wait to be in New Orleans for WM30 next year! I'm looking forward to experiencing the famous Bourban Street while I'm there too!
  2. Update: The bank DO still accept old twenty pound notes, well LLoyds TSB do anyway. They wouldn't just give me a straight swap though. I had to put the money into my account then if I wanted the money there and then I had to withdraw it from the cashpoint outside. Oh well at least they took them. That 40 quid will buy the new home shirt. Job done!
  3. I was at my moms house today and I was going through some of my old belongings. I saw an old Christmas card in an envelope from my nan and grandad. I was about to rip it up but I thought I would look at it again first. I opened the card and there was 40 pounds (two twenty pound notes) inside it! The problem is, they are the old twenty pound notes. Does anybody know for certain whether I can still exchange these at the bank for new notes? Some people are saying yes and some people are saying no and that the only way I can change them is if I go to the bank of England in London. Forget that! I'm not driving down to London just to change 40 quid! Oh and I have absolutely no idea why I would have opened a card with money in and left the money in the card instead of putting it in my wallet! I'd say the card was from about 2004. I couldn't believe it!
  4. His goals kept us up and then we got rid of his supply line. When he first signed for us, every goal that Darren Bent scored from open play between the January and May was created by either Ashley Young, Stewart Downing or Kyle Walker. All three of those were then gone and were not replaced efficiently. Bent needs service. Give him service and he'll deliver the goals. In his first full season he scored 10 goals in 25 games. Not too bad considering the circumstances! It's a shame that it hasn't worked out with him since Lambert became manager. That's football though I suppose. Plus, there is bound to be more to it than what is public knowledge. If, as expected, he goes, then I'd rather see him sold to Fulham than Newcastle. 25 goals in 64 appearances for us and not all of those were starts either. That's still not a bad goalscoring record. Cheers, Darren. All the best!
  5. I don't mean to sound like I'm an English teacher giving you bad marks on an essay or something but there are quite a few different errors in that video. Still funny though!
  6. Ha ha! Another decent Hitler vid. Shame about all the grammar errors though!
  7. Well, considering that you cannot completely "unfuse" a cervical fusion without fusing another cervical part, I took your "did they unfuse austins neck?" reply as intended sarcasm.
  8. Listen, I'm just telling you/showing you what Stone Cold has said about it. Whether it would actually happen remains to be seen. We shall see. I'm not getting my hopes up though! You tried to come out with a sarcastic reply to my post by saying "did they unfuse austins neck?" and I replied by providing comments that came straight from the horses mouth. That's it.
  9. That quote was nearly ten years ago. Listen to his podcasts and other various interviews that he has done lately. He knows he could never wrestle on a full time schedule again but a one off match is a totally different story! This is taken from an interview that Austin did on an American Radio show on Sirius on July 11th 2013. If we could possibly see Stone Cold at Wrestlemania 30, if he is healthy enough to get back in the ring again: “Oh I’m healthy enough. My knees coming around just fine, it’s better than it’s ever been because I’ve been doing my do diligence on my rehab. I’ve got two new ligaments. Everything else is pain free. I’m still in shape been working out harder than I’ve ever worked out. But here’s the deal. When you’re gonna try to commit to do a Wrestlemania 30, you’re looking really at, at least a two to three month commitment, if not four. So you know you’re talking about, taking everything else of the table. I can still do my podcast but take everything else off the table and focus specifically on that task. To do it the way I would do it, to do it the way Stone Cold Steve Austin would do it, at a 120 percent. Because to go out there and to try to perform at 85-90 percent because you didn’t prep enough. That would be bogus, that would be BS that would be letting the crowd down. And that would be representing the Stone Cold Steve Austin that I know and love to a degree that is not acceptable. So once you throw a legitimate, real deal offer down on the table and say let’s talk, then we’ll talk. But until then, conjecture.” If he is up to the challenge: “Well if I’m gonna agree to the challenge, accept it and go into it because I want to and the business makes sense, then absolutely.” How big it would be if he wrestled at WM 30: “Well I’m not going to put the cart in front of the horse. I’m not lobbying for a match. If the stars lined up, then it would happen."
  10. Austin has said many times over the last month or so that he is in great physical shape and without saying yes he wants to wrestle, he pretty much said that if the right deal was offered then he'd be interested. If he thought that his neck was going to be a problem, he wouldn't even consider wrestling again!
  11. Just to clarify, when I said that, I didn't just mean what happens in the ring once the match has started. I meant the overall package of the match. The build up with the promo's, the occasion, the popularity of both men etc. It would be awesome. Plus I did say "for me personally" due to the fact that Stone Cold is my all time favourite and CM Punk is my current favourite. Also, Austin is NOT injured! Read my post again.
  12. I agree with this, plus, having to keep buying contracts annoys the life out of me. I'm 29. I see ultimate team as more of a kids game mode. Ultimate team is what stops me from completing Fifa with 100% trophies. I'm on 95% completed on Fifa 13 but I really can't be bothered to get my ultimate team to 85 million in value. I'm at about 60 million and can't be bothered to keep playing it.
  13. His performance against Sunderland was one of the best performances by a right back that I have seen in the last 25 years! He was immense that day. Now that he's had a full season to settle in and adapt to the huge step up to the Premier League, he's only going to improve. If he has a great season then who knows, he could be on that flight to Brazil next summer if England qualify.
  14. Austin IS medically cleared! He's talked about it many times over the last month or so in various interviews. He had knee surgery last year but he is all healed up now and he says that he is in great shape. He says that while he isn't lobbying for a match, if the right deal could be made and the stars lined up then he'd be interested. He said that he knows committing to do Wrestlemania would pretty much mean committing 3-4 months to WWE in the build up to it and at the moment he doesn't have anything major scheduled that would stop him from making such a commitment. If this happens and he wrestles CM Punk then for me personally that would be the greatest match of all time. My all time favourite vs my current favourite. The fact that I will be in New Orleans for Wrestlemania 30 makes me want this to happen even more! The promo's between these two in the build up would be gold!!! Stone Cold has his own podcast. It's called The Steve Austin Show. He has a lot of wrestling related guests on but he doesn't just talk about wrestling. He talks about whatever he wants. It's a really good listen. You can get it for free on iTunes. If you listen to podcasts and you like Stone Cold then I recommend it.
  15. I grew up in Yardley. The park where this happened was my local park and I've played football over there literally thousands of times over the last 20 years. Yardley used to be a really nice area but over the last 5-10 years it has gone downhill big time. The problem is, a lot of houses are still council houses and they will move any Tom, Dick & Harry riff raff in! Happy memories of growing up in Yardley but I'm so glad I don't live round there anymore!
  16. Gutted, but, that's football these days! I was never over confident that we'd keep him anyway but I thought that someone would bid, we'd reject, he'd throw his toys out of the pram, then maybe hand in a transfer request. It's a big shame that football is like this now. Very rarely do you see any sort of loyalty anymore. We take a gamble on a player that was relatively unknown outside of Belgium, expose him on a worldwide stage, he has a great season and then hands in a transfer request. Yeah, cheers, Benteke! As I say though, that is football these days! Sadly, we were always going to be just a stepping stone for him. I just hope that we are asking for more than the reported 20-25 million. I say 30 million minimum, but, if it's Tottenham then say 35-40 million. Give Daniel Levy some of his own inflated prices medicine!
  17. Some proper memories in this thread!!! Here's my contribution... Only Fools & Horses Gladiators Big Break The Crystal Maze Chucklevision Sons Of Anarchy The Chase That will do, for now.
  18. Is that why you decided to name Henning Berg in the starting line up and on the bench too?
  19. Thanks for doing that mate. Yeah, going flawless on any game mode is tricky, especially the ones like one in the chamber. When there's a party full of us and we are playing ground war it takes the piss how good he does nearly every game! I'm running round thinking that I'm doing good getting a lightening strike and then all of a sudden we've got him getting his swarm or attack dogs! It's good for us because we are winning games but it would be a nightmare to play against. I'm on a 326 win streak at the moment, mainly thanks to playing with people like him.
  20. My mate decided to become like the billionth person to upload a COD gameplay to Youtube. I said I'd try and help him get a few more views, so I thought I'd post it in here. It is a short gameplay of him playing "One In The Chamber on the "Plaza" map. Nothing special really but if you are feeling generous and you fancy helping with a few views, maybe a like or 2 then it would be appreciated. He's a season ticket holder down the Villa too if that helps to sway you! Cheers lads!
  21. I collect goldfish farts for spirit levels. It's a tough job but someone's got to do it!
  22. The thought of selling Benteke and replacing him with a bluenose will make me do more than vomit!!!
  23. Last night I watched Lincoln. Far too many boring parts. Maybe it's because I was tired, I don't know but I just couldn't get into it. This film really is a case of all talk and no action. If you've seen it you should know what I mean by that. Daniel Day Lewis is good in it but overall I was expecting it to be a lot better. I'd give it a generous 6/10.
  24. Hahahahaha! As if some random idiot is calling me a gorm, over the internet! I was told what I posted by someone who knows Gabby on a personal level. I've met Gabby quite a few times over the last 5 or 6 years through a mutual friend. Now, I'm not saying that what I was told actually came from Gabby. I didn't ask and to be honest I couldn't really give a **** about what goes on as long as Villa are picking up points. If I was going to come on to a forum and post "bare rumours" then I would have thought of something much better to say than that! Gorm and bare rumours. Ha! The youth of today make me laugh. Ya getz me blud!
  25. A few hours ago I was talking to a very reliable "source" who told me that the reason Gabby wasn't involved today wasn't because of an illness. It was because him and Lambert have had a fall out!
