    I don’t doubt you’re right, Maguire shouldn’t be anywhere near the starting 11 given his injury/fitness and lack of game time. But if anyone should be replaced it should be Stones. I hope you’re wrong.

    Sterling is a headless chicken at times so his pace is irrelevant when there’s little end product. Jack may not have his pace but there’s far more likelihood of Jack providing an opportunity than there is Sterling. Our very own GA11 had pace to burn but didn’t deliver often enough.

    Spoke to him at The Reading Festival a couple of days after the home victory over Everton. He was in front of me in the queue for beer. A genuine guy who was happy to chat about the game and humbly thanked me for saying he played well in the game. I wish him success for the remainder of his career.
