What a day!

After my long trip from Sweden I finally got here! I was looking forward to my first visit at the Holte End and boy was it great!

Have to be one of the greatest days in my life! Singing all the Villa songs, calling the referee a wan*** and just enjoying the atmosphere! As if that wasn't enough, managed to fill my autograph book with every players autograph (besides Zog who raced out from the parking) and get to meat Fabian Delph, my favorite player! Thank you Aston Villa and every player for this great experience, till next time!

Glad you had a good day pal, it's easy to take it for granted when you live locally!

Don't know about any other homegrown Villa fans but this kind of story fills me with absolute pride. Why should this lad support the Villa over any other English club? Don't know the answer and couldn't care. I'm glad to have you part of the Villa family mate. Glad the players/occasion lived up to your expectations.

Up the Villa!!

Nice one  :thumb:

My first (and only) visit to Villa Park was a 0-0 draw as well! It was a great experience. It's one thing to see it on TV, but to get off the train and walk to the ground, and then up the ramp to see the pitch...nothing quite like it.

You must be buzzing. Reading this brings back memories of my visit to see the New York Mets after 8 years of following them from a distance. The whole day was just a blur and I had a massive grin on my face the whole day. As I am sure you did

I have fond memories of my only visit. 1-0 down at half time to a Owen goal for Newcastle. Quiz question flashed up on the board, "Who scored the last league hat-trick for Villa at home?" Answer: Savo Milosevic vs Coventry 1995. I joked to my mate that someone would score a hat-trick in the second half and we'd win. Step up John Carew.

I remember my first game as it was the last game before the old Holte was refitted. May 7 1994, Villa v Liverpool. Liverpool were up  0-1 at half-time before a young Dwight Yorke came off the bench to score a brace and win us the match. He was my hero after that day.

The best bit was that it was my older brother's first game too and he's a Liverpool fan, so beating his team made victory all the more sweet.
