Just had chance to catch up on the prem rugby final.
Fair play to Quinn’s, what a turn around this season is been, especially without a DOR.
Smith is some talent and supplemented well bu many others, Care is looking rejuvenated and then there is Marler. What a bloke!

This lions tour is going to be a shambles,  cases of Covid in the lions management, to go with the SA Georgia game off. Wouldnt be surprised if all warm up and midweek games cancelled and we just have the tests

Marcus Smith called up to the Lions squad - announced during the England Canada game. Brilliant for Smith who’s had a great season.

On the England game - the Newcastle winger Radwan is rapid!!!

Anyone see the red in the lions game? Can't believe Nigel Owens called it as a yellow. Disgusting to see elbows to the head.

Also think Ludlow was lucky to get away with a sin bin in the England game. He didn't mean to knee the Canadian in the face, but my word it was dangerous.

Great to see Watson score a great breakaway try as well. The 11-14 spots are so hard to call going into the tests.

I think the Lions will get beasted today to be honest. the Springboks are always a physical team and will want to send a message in the first test.

Chuffed for LCD starting at hooker though, he’s been on terrific form so far.

Very frustrating so far.

Boks being horrible words removed as usual. We don’t have enough horrible, nasty bastards and are really lacking explosive ball carriers.

What a turnaround. 12-3 at ht, we looked beaten.

Quite a few pieces of luck, although SA discipline was shocking in the second half. Ref needed to be more vocal.

Please no Daly in the next test. He's not physical enough and is so out of form. Forwards were immense today though.

Great result that. We didn’t play the best rugby but second half played them at their own game and beat them.
Rode our luck a couple of times. Think Watson was lucky not to get a yellow.

Iotje and Lawes were superb.
Owens, did so much better than LCD despite his try.
Would’ve liked to have seen Watson, Hogg and DVM on the ball more.
Curry was quiet for his standards.

YES! So much better in the second half. Some huge performances in that last 40 - Lawes, Vunipola and Itoje in particular.

Got very, very lucky with a couple of decisions, though. How Hamish Watson didn’t get at least a yellow, I’ll never know.

Agreed on Daly, he deserved his place after his form on the tour, but was sloppy today.

For me he's not been the same player since the last lions series. Thought he was phenomenal up to then. I think he's very lucky to have been selected; only injuries and a relatively shallow talent pool for centres are the reasons he's in the squad.

Positively though, some really terrific performances from the forwards and the subs. If we can take the tempo of the second half into the next test we've got a real shot of winning the series.

Erasmus coming across as a massive arsehole now. It was funny at first when someone pointed out how he was clearly using a fake name on twitter to dispute decisions whilst publicly saying he had no complaints about the game, but the longer the week has gone on the more pathetic he's become, it's just turned in to a week long tantrum.

Surely World Rugby have got to come down on him for this latest stunt? You can't be having DORs/Coaches releasing hour long videos criticising referee decisions.

Squeaky bum time 2nd half. Not spectacular to watch so far but it sure has been enthralling.

The tempo in the first ten minutes of this 2nd half is going to be key. Lions have to keep the pressure on.

Really enjoyed the first half. There wasn’t much action in the 22s but couldn’t take my eyes off it. (Biggar’s dive was a low point, though.)

Second half was utterly turgid. We didn’t even threaten to play any rugby. Really terrible, terrible spectacle. Back three were horrendous under the high ball and there were a fair few other shocking performances.

Didn’t watch yesterday but seems we let South Africa the pack the second half. We saw last week that SA would tire, but didn’t get that yesterday and then SA will always win an arm wrestle.
Oh well onto next week and a decider.
